I use Genelec 8010 monitor speakers on main output of Zoom f8n recorder/interface connected with oroginal Zoom TXF-8 cables. The F8n generate an incredibly high noise on "Line" level output (+4dBu) and I can only use it on "Normal" consumer level (-10dBV) and it still produce unpleasant noise on the monitors (even if much less compared to line level). The issue happens both in audio interface and "standard" recorder mode; it doe not depend on faders or other channels. I have done plenty of tests but no: as soon the F8n is powered on (both with power supply or battery) it spits out a huge amount of noise to the main out. How comes such a bad output stage?
