Timing in art is everything. F9 and F10 were gonna hit theatres back to back, just in time for the franchise's 20th anniversary. The pandemic pushed back the filming of F10 and release of F9. Justin Lin's returning as director for F9 was as good as expected. Story, action, humor and adding more characters (old and new) just couldn't be more exciting. With most of these sequels, you have to turn off your brain. Crazy stuff goes down and you just have to roll with it. The self-awareness in F9 was far from expected and very funny. The milestone brought out so much love from the fans who kept up (including me). A tried and true, love letter to all this phenomenon. Fast 10 aka Fast X is gonna be a monster with director Louis Leterrier and some newer castmembers. Also pulling things back to earth after that overly crazy 'flying car' moment. Still want Hobbs & Shaw 2. But the Fast Saga itself ending with 3 instead of 2 films is more than we can handle (I think).

Why is it funny that he walked Paul Walker’s daughter down the isle. Vin Diesel is Meadow Walker’s god father so if she doesn’t have her biological father to walk her down the isle why wouldn’t her god father do it.

Fun facts 1. F9 is the first movie to be delayed to the following year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During that year big blockbusters about to be released in March and April were also suffering numerous delays such as No Time to Die was set for release on April 2020 but was delayed to November 2020 and would eventually be delayed to April and then October of 2021 A Quiet Place II was delayed indefinitely before being released in May 28, 2021 after having its release dates shifted from September 2020 to September 2021 and Mulan was also delayed indefinitely though it would be released on Disney Plus Premier Access on September 4, 2020. Because of this F9 is the first movie to be delayed to the following year with movies set to be released this year only to suffer delays with some of them being ended up on streaming services. 2. Although Jakob makes his first appearance in Fast & Furious 9 it has been previously implied that his sister was unaware of his existence as in fourth Fast & Furious Mia asked Dominic "How do you say goodbye to your only brother?" 3. During the first 10 minutes a 1970 Dodge Charger 500 can be seen inside the barn of Dom's and Letty's farm. This is the same infamous car that Dom drives in The Fast and the Furious (2001), Fast & Furious (2009), Fast Five (2011), and Furious 7 (2015). Towards the endings of the prior movies the car keeps on getting destroyed but Dom keeps on repairing it afterwards offscreen. 4. One of the scenes included with the director's cut is a brief reunion between Dom and Mia (Jordana Brewster) after she arrives at Dom and Letty's remote farm to babysit Little Brian prior to Dom joining his team on their mission to Montequinto. 5. Takes place after the events of Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019) which is around two to three years after The Fate of the Furious (2017). 6. Deleted scene (at 54 mins) shows the car that Sean (Lucas Black) wrecked in Tokyo Drift sitting in a Tokyo garage. Although Black has stated that "it was a big deal" getting the nearly totaled car shipped to London for filming purposes, painted, etc, director Justin Lin opted to cut the sequence regardless. 7. Jack Toretto's final race takes place in 1989. However, the entire field is comprised of Chevrolet Monte Carlo and Pontiac Grand Prix bodies that are based on models from the late '90s and early 2000s. 8. During the first chase sequence, Letty (on a motorcycle) participated in the radio conversation between the drivers. She does not have a radio headset or a microphone. 9. Though Jakob carried out most of the crimes Otto is revealed to be the main villain because he was the mastermind of the plot. Having said that Cipher became the final boss after she accidentally killed him with his own drone before escaping once more. 10. It is stated that Ellie was 11 when Han saved her. Given that this takes place around the events of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift which in the timeline takes place in 2014 and the events of F9 take place in 2019 it can be assumed Elle is around 16. This raises a discrepancy as the actress is in her late 20s. 11. Actor Michael Rooker previously starred in another racing movie Days of Thunder (1990), alongside Tom Cruise. Except in Days of Thunder he was the rival NASCAR driver of Tom Cruise's character and in this movie he's part of the Toretto pit crew. 12. The first Fast & Furious film to briefly acknowledge the events of Hobbs & Shaw (2019). 13. The first Fast and Furious movie since Tokyo Drift (2006) to not have either Dwayne Johnson or Paul Walker in the cast. 14. The original plan to offer #JusticeForHan was going to keep him dead and address it all via flashbacks but Lin wisely changed course on that idea. 15. Jakob's car is a 2020 Ford Mustang GT350. It's special 5.2-liter V-8--code-named Voodoo makes 526 horsepower and revs to a dizzying 8250 rpm. It's also fitted with stiffer race-ready suspension, lightweight carbon-fiber wheels, and more aggressive aerodynamic components.

This is the worst Fast and Furious for me because it has Dom completely betraying his character and disowning his own brother and just assuming that he killed their father instead of talking to him and asking him if he knew something was wrong with the car.
