Adam Lambert wrote this song of empowerment for his fans. He wanted them to have the courage to be their true authentic selves. This song is from his Velvet album which was released the week COVID hit. He never got an opportunity to tour the music but it's still my favorite album. All the songs are funk based except for the ballads which are just breathtakingly beautiful! Thanks for the great reaction.

Glad you mentioned the female musicians. Also, the backup singer with the turquoise hair is Alison Iraheta who was on the same American Idol season as Adam was. You should check out their duet that was a cover of Slow Ride by Fog Hat. He stays loyal to friends for sure and she's a wonderful singer in her own right.

Adam is so remarkably gifted! He takes my breath away with his powerful voice. I get a Prince vibe from this one. Thank you!

Loved your reaction. Adam clearly enjoys performing live. Seamless transition to head voice, and octave transitions. Yes, he takes my breath away too! Thank you for this!

To me he is VERY influenced by George Michael, songwise as well as in his attitude and in the song's funky groove production. He doesn't have any problem transfering between his breast voice and falsetto (head) voice. He just glides naturally over the edge of the two techniques really. Why not compare with George Michael? Nothing is new under the sun...😊

Yeah, I don’t get that. Adam can really sing any genre.
