I have both the XLR5 FR and L4S Hunter. I have really come to like the release on the left side of the receiver. Once you load the gun a few times having the release on the left side just becomes more intuitive. As an engineer type I have also found the two nut retention system for the piston and forearm assembly to be just a superb design. I have shot over 150 rounds on the clay course with the L4S and only once checked to make sure the forearm nut was still secure. I bet more S/A designs go to the double nut design, it just makes sense.

Pete Jackson thanks Pete, I can’t for the life of me remember why there is no b roll of me shooting in this episode as if you watch any of my other reviews I always include it. I think it was down to time and weather. Try my review on the Winchester SX4 :)

One of the few video reviews of this gun that doesn’t sound like a FABARM advertisement by an outspoken individual here in the states. It’s a nice gun with imo a better build quality than the Beretta A400 or Browning Maxus (although those are both very nice guns as well). Trigger is better than most but not as nice as Browning. I wish they would have utilized the adjustable trigger group from the XLR5. A bit thin in the wrist for me (I find the Beretta A400 fits my hand better). My only gripe is that I hate the Triwood stock. Yes it looks ok but it feels like plastic and you can see a seam. I’d much prefer a straight grain wood stock with an oil finish. Cheers Lloyd.

Hi Lloyd , enjoy your reviews, keep up the good work. Unless I missed it you didn't state whether the Fabarm has an adjustable stock like most semi autos.

Awesome review its fantastic. I wanted to ask you, what are your thought on the Retay Masai Mara 12 gauge shotgun. Would it be possible if you could do a review on this shotgun? I am interested to know your thoughts and your opinions on whether to purchase that item or wait and go with something else. Thank you for your time. Merry Christmas

Lloyd, I've read online you can lock the bolt back with rounds in the magazine. LiKe a magazine cut off switch they offer on some of the Browning models. Do you know how to do it on the L4S?

I own an L4s and unfortunately this feature isnt available. but if you pull the bolt back it wont push another shell into the lifter and you can unload the gun directly from the magazine without having to cycle through all the cartridges.

692, f16sporting, f3cheapest version, Caesar Guerini's invicts are + - in the same price range so it's hard to make a decision which one is the best ...)
