Huge difference. As far as the wet sanding goes, in my opinion, unless the client wanted to pay extra I think you made the right choice. I wonder how Helios polish would have worked leaving an acrylic coating? Nice job 👍✌️☮️
@FABAutomotiveDetailing Жыл бұрын
Thank you brother! Yeah wet sanding would have taken 2-3 times longer and I didn’t want to waste the time on that. I’m not sure how well Helios would have worked.

@@FABAutomotiveDetailing I've had some good luck with with hard pads and heavier compound , depending on how bad the jeep windows were. Then finishing with a lighter pad/polish.

Great video and great job as always. I think it’s polycarbonate judging by the yellow on the pad after the papa cut.headlights yellow up also and they’re polycarbonate also. I’m not not so sure that wet sanding would have made much of a difference.that etching looks quite deep. Keep up the good work and please keep the videos coming.

Thank you! Oxidation on plexiglass will also turn the pad yellow so I’m not sure exactly what it is.
@scottbarnwell512 Жыл бұрын
Huge turnaround. I might have missed it, but one option I didn't hear you discuss was a glass polish and glass polishing pad. What made you decide on paint compound & polish vs a glass polish?

That was cool. Hey Brian, you know your materials. What was the material the top was made of? Is it the same material as motorcycle windscreens? Could i use same procedure to remove scratches from windscreens? Thank you!
@FABAutomotiveDetailing Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I’m not exactly sure what it is. I’m thinking plexiglass but don’t know 100%. Motorcycle windshields you have to be careful with as they have UV coatings on them. Best thing I have found for them is Griots Garage Plastic Polish.

I have a question if someone could help. I'm looking to buy my first polisher and i found Adams brand on sale for a pretty decent price package but I'm not sure if i should get the 12mm or the 15mm. I have two Mustangs a 13&14 and a 2015 F-150 crew cab.
@FABAutomotiveDetailing Жыл бұрын
I would go with the 15mm. Just start out slow to learn the throw and then work your way up to speed

A wet sand might have been good. But if its just an add on then might not be worth the time and paper.
