I LOVE Turtle Wax 53733 Hybrid Solutions Graphene Acrylic Tire Shine Spray Coating, No Sling Tire Dressing, not only does it last a long time on my tires, I use it on my plastic trim to bring it back to black and protect it, works great on tires and trim!

DIY is becoming my favorite line of products! There rinseless wash and Quick beads are the best out there! I’ve replaced my Soap, foamer, Rinseless, ceramic interior to DIY so far!

Great recommendations Brian. I have had about 1/3 of the products you recommended on my "wish list" of items I wanted to purchase for a while. Looks like I need to bite the bullet so to speak and go ahead and purchase them! Thanks for the reviews and recommendations on the various categories of detailing products that you have personally used and can attest to their ability to do the job well. I've wanted to try that Turtle Wax Graphene Ceramic stuff for years now but just haven't gotten around to purchasing a can since I had so much other waxes and sealants. I still really want to try that one. I might stop by the Auto Parts store tomorrow and see if they have any in stock.

@@FABAutomotiveDetailing Yes sir, that is the plan! I still love putting a paste wax on my car for some reason. I guess because it was the way I started detailing cars over 45 years ago when I was in high school. It's pretty much all we had back then for the most part. Either paste wax or liquid wax/sealant. Mequiars Cleaner Wax in the maroon can was the staple of my detailing for 10+ years! It actually did a decent job for what it was back then but you had to reapply it often which wasn't a big deal because I would usually always re-apply it every couple of weeks anyway so it worked good because everytime you applied it, since it had the "cleaner" properties of the wax, it would just remove the wax layer you had on it previously if it wasn't gone already from subsequent car wash sessions during the few weeks in between each wax session. I just set aside two hours every three to four weeks to do a wash session and reapply it again. The longer term "sealant" I used back then which might still be around was call "LIQUID GLASS" and it was sold in a gold can with a Red Corvette emblazoned on the front of the can. That usually gave you several months of protection but it did leave a much better finish, smooth and silky to the touch. Of course, this was all way before the days of "decontamination" and "paint prep" which were terms that were not even created yet in the detailing world, other than maybe the highest performing professional detailers of the time period (which were few and far between I assure you). The only prep you did was wash the car with a good quality dish soap which would strip down previous wax on the paint and then use a cleaner wax product to cleanse the paint as you applied the wax. The wax removal was always a LOT more difficult back then as well but I did always try to not work in the sun, although it was unavoidable many times. Most cleaner waxes back then were actually better than now days. They had more "cut" in the wax and more heavy cleaning ability then they do now with much weaker formulations, probably because of the clear coat. Finishes back when I started were mostly single stage and you needed that extra cutting ability in the cleaner wax to get the oxidation off the paint surface. Believe me, I have 'restored" single stage paint with a simple can of cleaner wax back then. You always had the color of the paint you were working on on your cloth upon wiping off the hazed over wax. Then when you buffed the paint, the shine returned! It actually worked pretty well overall and if you washed and waxed your vehicle on a regular basis. We used the watered down "spray waxes" of the day as our "toppers" and to keep it shined in between wax jobs and that process worked similar to todays detailing methods. The interior was kept tidy using simple household chemicals like Fantastik or similar and windex for all the windows inside and out. And you used old terry bath towels for your detailing cloths. There was no microfibers at all back then. And nobody machined polished your vehicle at home back then. Really only 3M had the rotary buffer system and professional grade polishes and pads you needed to do a professional machine polish and only the professional body shops had that type of equipment. There were very few detailers who specialized in polishing your paint back then because the equipment investment for the 3M rotary, pads, proprietary polishes, and accessories was very expensive. Your home wash "kit" was pretty simple with a simple bucket, wash mitt, turtle wax "zip wax" soap, maybe an old brush for the tires, and a couple of terry towels for drying. It didn't take up much room in your garage! LOL Nothing like the thousands upon thousands of detailing products available now days. I've got four full dedicated cabinets in my garage now with detailing equipment in it! It's crazy how much I have now. And my "wish list" has a hundred more things on it. The good ole' days definitely had it's pluses! And it was WAY WAY cheaper too! LOL

I really enjoyed the review and the honest presentation! Three questions if I may? 1) I am a big fan of Pure Shine. Does the paste wax give it that darkening affect like you get in pure shine? 2) have you tried the turtle wax hybrid solutions spray wax? How does it compare to the paste wax? 3) have you tried the Cerakote Trim Restore? Just wondered how you compared it against the C6?

@@malachi2371 Thank you! The paste wax doesn’t darken as much as Pure Shine but Pure Shine on top of the paste wax sure is a great combination. Paste Wax is better IMO than the HS Spray Coating. I hav emit used solution finish so I can’t answer that.

Some of the DIY stuff is pretty good, but that chemical smell on the All Clean is just a big turn off for me. Plus i found i think its green star from KCx seems to work slightly better for me at similar dilution ratios. Good list and cant fault a person for having favorites.

As I try different products, I find myself coming back to DIY Detail in many cases. The versatility of Rinseless Wash is amazing! You want a thick-foamin, hard-hitting cleaning soap... 1 oz of Incredible Suds in a 32 oz foam cannon is great. Add 1 oz of undiluted All Clean to that foam cannon and it's almost up to a touchless wash level. Squeaky clean. If you dare, try some of the DIY Detail products and see for yourself. Funny thing with your comment on Brian working for DIY Detail... His links are all Amazon links, not even direct DIY Detail affiliate links.

8:49 You piqued my interest. I get a lot of exhaust carbon soot that sticks on my rear bumper. I usually have to use an abrasive to remove it. Going to give it a shot. As for steering wheel cleaning, I recently discovered the Suds Lab version of the Scrub Ninja. I spray some P&S Xpress Interior and that combo was awesome!
