Linda Thompson described Elvis to a tee. She did indeed know him, inside and out, and she loved him a great deal too. I can believe that Elvis was needy and lonely at heart. He did indeed miss his beloved mother a whole lot. When she died, a part of Elvis died too, which accounted for the vulnerability and neediness that he had. She also said that he loved hard, very fiercely. I can believe that about him. He seemed to be a man, who had a caring heart, and someone who truly valued/appreciated all of those he loved. He called Linda Mommy for a reason, she was there to cater to his every need, almost as if she were a parent instead of a girlfriend. I know that sounds weird, but it's true, in a lot of ways. Elvis was like a little boy and not a man at times. He could bring the caring in a woman, as well as the protective part that every woman feels for her child. Elvis was needy and demanded a lot of personal attention. He wanted a woman, who would revolve her world, around his world constantly. Linda did love Elvis, and there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for him, but there came a time when she decided to leave him. She just couldn't stand to see Elvis destroy himself with his addiction, which conquered him, and which he couldn't get any control over. He would eventually die in 1977, at the young age of only 42, which will always be a tragedy in itself.

In Gingers book, she tells how Elvis would be talking on the phone for hours, but she didn't realise who to. One day she heard Elvis say , to the person on the phone, tell GInger how to look after me, GInger took the phone and it was Priscilla on the other end, Priscilla told her just to love him and make sure he got plenty rest, Ginhger said she,d no idea how close they still were. The last few years of his life Elvis needed lots of tlc, both for his physical and emotional needs, he was a very ill man, and just needed to know he was loved. ❤️ Linda in my opinion reveals too much about their private times together. 😔

@@anY-bf9ud I agree with you that Elvis was very ill, the last few years of his life, and needed lots of TLC. However, I don't believe what you said about Linda Thompson, as she has never revealed everything about her private moments with Elvis. If anyone did this, it was Priscilla, and she did it to make money. She practically sold off, all of her private life with Elvis, for the sake of a buck.

Such a sweet way Linda speaks of Elvis, whereas the way Priscilla speaks it’s like he was only the star that groomed her, making him look like an abuser while Linda remembers him with love and affection! People that see right thru Priscilla knows, she had her sights on Elvis to take her to the world of money! Priscilla was the one that broke that relationship, thinking she could blackmail him into marrying her and it not effecting how he truly saw her after that, he knew exactly why she wanted him. Linda also loved Lisa Marie whereas Priscilla resented her and, it was so evident in Priscilla’s face whenever she spoke of Lisa Marie that she was a disappointment to Priscilla and she also resented her because Elvis adored her so much. How do you think you could call Elvis the love of your life when in actual fact, he was the only thing Priscilla cares about, possessions! She is truly a cold hearted she devil at heart!

Priscilla on the other hand has a twisted mind, one day she says this and one day she says that. She talk about Elvis being controlling so and and so forth.... She just talk about her self and how Elvis treated her so bad. She always say, he is the love of her life but all she does is tarnish Elvis name. What a joke! Just interested in his money and fame. @stavrosbooras- I'm so glad someone agrees with me! Although everyone seems to love LT, I think she's just tries to popularize her and Elvis's relationship, which was a very tumultuous one at that. She's talked about saving his life 11-13 times, how his face fell into his soup bcuz he was so strung out on drugs, how she had to "take care" of him, etc. Shame on her, she should have taken all that to her grave and preserved Elvis's dignity. And she says Elvis was "needy and insecure," when she was the one that was both of those things when she was with Elvis. Elvis grew tired of Linda, bought her a home in LA away from him. Elvis finally dumped her when his MM informed him that she was screwing his keyboard player (David Briggs). LT sure doesn't talk about that though! Bye, Linda.

@@lilyramos6752Just came across your comment and relieved to finally find someone who feels the way I do! For any care and love she gave Elvis, I believe she undid it all by putting out this private information that should have remained PRIVATE. Elvis would feel devastated and betrayed if he knew she would share these kind of details with the world, that's a betrayal of trust on all levels. Some things are private, especially after a person has passed on.. Have some respect and let them rest. Poor Elvis, he can never catch a break from people making a dollar off his name even after he's departed this earth. It breaks my heart.

Question : does anybody believe those stories!? Elvis was his own man, he would never show dependence or helpfulness. If so, he could have been easily manipulated and even convinced to change things that harmed him, but he didn't. He didn't accept anybody to tell him what to do. Is it just me that senses that most of the stories are made up!? Is it just me that understands that her stories are neither kind, nor in favor of Elvis!? She describes a soft and weak person. Elvis was not like that. According to others from his close environment, more reliable than her, share a completely different perception of Elvis. Why believe them!? Because they had nothing to gain and they never tried throughout the years. I respect his choices, whatever they were and whoever they were, but when these "choices" show no respect towards him, I will make strict and harsh critics. These women, and I say these meaning all of them because they all have one thing in common, exploitation, so these women played a very significant role in Elvis's life. He chose them for his own reasons and he cherished them for what they were, therefore I expect respect and appreciation.. Why he sent them away!? Because after having given them numerous chances, he realized that it wasn't worth. So, instead of making up stories in order to save or enhance their images, I 'd prefer some dignity and silence. From Priscilla to Ginger, they were all the same. Elvis knew that very well, but at the same time, he loved the ladies. Although the ladies were rotten to the core, it seems that he didn't really care. He knew there would always be another. The sad thing, in my opinion, is that Elvis might have lost faith that some day the right girl would come along... Elvis was a very intelligent person. Anybody trying to shape a different picture of him, are far below the average IQ rate.

Calling her mommy should be a clue as to what her relationship actually was with Elvis. She was a maid. She was paid really well with all the jewelry she spouts about, and she belittles him while making herself appear to be superwoman. There are things she should NOT be telling leaving some of his personal feelings to private. Good grief! When will she ever stop! I guess she's bucking for saint hood. She tells things I'm sure Elvis would rather his fans NOT know. He had no privacy and not the little privacy he had she exploits and has been over and over for 47 years.
