When I refill cartridges like that, I also have a small glass handy to be able to put the cartridge in there in upright position if required. Just makes life a little easier.

That's a good idea. Thanks for the tip. 😊

Maybe help push the cap with your thumb? Would be a bummer to spray ink... Not that I've had that happen...

Thanks for the tip. I'm taking it to school tomorrow. I dont want to end up with ink all over myself or a student. 😊

Nice review! But I've got to say that the nib looks to me more like a medium one than an extra fine.

Thank you! On my experience the Faber Castell extra fine nib writes like a Japanese fine. I like fine nibs, so I've been very happy with it.

Hi, Kathy! I ordered an Ambition in black, nib M. Everyone speaks very well of the Faber-Castell nib. My expectations are high. About the cap, I have read on a German KZbin channel that the locking mechanism deteriorates over time. One of the users said that the customer service works well, they fixed it for him. In another case, it happened after 5 years of intensive use. The mini-section is very controversial. Among the reviews I have seen, most reviewers have had no problems. But one German reviewer had to sell it.

My Ambition has an extra-fine nib that is truly very fine. It's not buttery smooth because it is so fine, but it is a good nib. I like the look of the ambition and that it is available in so many colors. I haven't experienced any deterioration in the capping mechanism, but I don't use my Ambition very often. Too many pens, too little time.

Is the nib same as in the Loom? Thanks.
@gadgetstop3213 жыл бұрын
I don't have a Loom so I can't verify, but according to others on the fountain pen network they seem to be the same #5 Jowo nib.

Do you still enjoy this pen after having it for a while? Wondering about the about the lack of a real section. I have both the Logo and the CP1 and like those. I like the look of the Op Art.

I do still like the Faber-Castell Ambition. The only thing I don't like about it is that the metal cap is so heavy that it's not practical to post. But the pen is very comfortable to use unposted.

What do you think with the M nib?
@gadgetstop3215 жыл бұрын
I've never used a medium Faber Castell nib but I have heard that they are very smooth. I have been very happy with the extra fine.

Hi thanks for the reply! Yes i just got it with M nib. I mostly will use it for sketching. Faber’s nibs are very expensive. Can i buy the nibs from somewhere else other than faber’s?
@MiguelGonzalez3653 жыл бұрын
@@MlleVB You can buy Bock or Jowo nibs for about 10 euros in English digital shops like Beaufort. www.beaufortink.co.uk/bock-fountain-pen-nibs I've read that other brands of nibs work, I think TWISBI, but I'm not sure. Search the internet. At www.fountainpennetwork.com you will find all the information you need.

crazy clumsy way to open pen. push your thumb against other hand while gripping pen with both hands. this gives control when opening
