Absolutely , incredibly glorious , these eggs! The joy of opening one ,then finding something intriguing inside, opening that and finding yet another beautiful object inside it....Wow! What workmanship and creativity!

Wow, thank you so much for sharing this. It's interesting to see these up close and in "operation".

For some reason I thought all these eggs were a foot tall, but they're all quite small! About the size of a baseball. The detailing and engineering is masterful work!
@henrylivingstone29713 жыл бұрын
Some of them are smaller. Like the rosebud egg, it’s about the same size as a hens egg.

A feast for eyes of all that glitters is gold and diamonds from Faberge. Thanks for sharing.
@henrylivingstone29713 жыл бұрын
@Sebastian Trager Technically not all of them are made of gold.

Russia should buy back all the fabrege eggs because it is a priceless national treasure.

Other egg owners would have to be willing to sell them and they aren’t about to give them up. About a dozen are in US museums, two are in the queens collection, one is in the possession of a Qatari prince, and two are in Switzerland.

@Henry Livingstone I think it's the Rothschild Egg and thanks for translating! And number 9 was the "Order of St George Egg"

Drool. Gosh I wish I had one in my collection. Incredible
I thought he used real eggs? Didn't he use ostrich eggs?
@henrylivingstone29713 жыл бұрын
No….I don’t think he used actual eggs in any of them. He used gold, silver, platinum, enamel, gemstones and even wood but not actual eggs.

Faberge is the authentic art in jewelries not like Tifanny and Christie's which price only based on the wait and size of diamonds and gold and no art at all...
@henrylivingstone29713 жыл бұрын
Christie’s isn’t a jewelers though….it’s an auction house, they don’t make jewelry. Shows how little you know. You could’ve mentioned literally anyone else like Cartier’s, Bulgari’s, Harry Winston, or Van Cleef and Arpels.

Wasn't this whole Zars family and himself executed I think they were all killed the Bolsheviks did it just saying quite interesting when you're sitting there laying someone's photographs out even though they were who they were it's still very sensitive and sacrilegious to do this I don't know it's kind of weird
@Gwenifar1005 жыл бұрын
Jesus got brutally murdered too. And are you bothered about seeing a cross? Why it should be a sacrilege to remember the dead?
