It is a great plugin, tried and true and has been a staple for many years in producers toolboxes. It definitely gets better with time. It is a bit of an investment, but like I mentioned in my video, if it is something you are going to use in every project and likely multiple instances of a project, it is worth having and will pay for itself in no time.

I can already see how a million other vst developers, once again lagging behind FabFilter, will say in the coming years "hmm, we need to update our eqs quickly to have spectral dynamics". So hundreds of the same copycat FabFilter eqs will now appear.

And if that is the case, you will know that you have the original of this and have been getting use of it the entire time, to get better sounding final results.

Tonebooster actually did it before fabfilter

I did not know this! It definitely is hard to be original nowadays. Just about everything has been done in some form or another.

Some things need to be optimized: 1) saved "pinned sets" should be saved within the project somehow. Right now, you can save pinned sets yet when you open another project these saved sets are useless and, of course, loading them does not do anything. There is just no way to work with it. 2) Tracks should be able to being pinned directly fron the right side menu in the group view. 3) Pinned sets should be able to being recalled from the group view's main window. 4) Frequency sweep with auto listen function.

Some GREAT observations and suggestions there! I can see these as being very beneficial additions. Unfortunately, despite me showing off this plugin, I have no affiliation with them. Have you tried to contact them with these ideas, in hopes of them being included in a future update?

@ I wrote them :)

feature request: link and inverse-link bands from different instances of pro-q 4. (izotope neutron 4 has this feature) its mildly fustrating how you can call up all the instances but have to edit them seperatly.

More good ideas. Since this plugin is so new, I think there is certainly room for improvement. Let us hope a future update brings us some of these QOL requests.

I have heard so much about this plugin. I know many artists swear by this. I have always stuck with the stock Frequency plugin in Cubase, as it has never let me down, but this is very interesting to see. Thanks for the in depth showing of this latest version.

It really is pretty much an industry standard EQ plugin at this point, but that isn't to say that other plugins are still not valuable in their own way. Comfort, familiarity and workflow are very important to the end user, so if you are fine using another plugin and get the results you are after, then you can certainly stick with that.

Have you found a way to change from clean to subtle or warm in the multi-proq4 view?
@STRANJAH18 күн бұрын
Unfortunately no, I have not. I'm still learning about the plugin, so there's more to uncover. I wonder if it is even possible at all? If you figure it out, please let me know and I will do the same.

Hopefully you are upgrading from a previous version, as it certainly helps. The plugin is definitely worth it though. An absolute work horse!

44 minutes with a horrible loop? no thanks
@STRANJAH19 күн бұрын
Well the video was not intended to be the showing of an amazing loop, so it's pretty sad to hear that that was your takeaway from this, instead of better understanding what this new version of the EQ plugin could do. Thanks!
