Gen Z has more tools for “ear candy” but millennials jungle has a little more atmospheric kinda vibe to it…I’m older so personally I like the latter

Exactly. That ride is what really makes the break, though the shuffles help too!

Hi, there was a link in the description to a folder of free breaks, including a few variations of the Tighten Up Break in both WAV and RX2. You can find it here... dvnt.to/free-breaks

Is 2003 the furthest back you could go? There were plenty of DNB bangers before then.
@STRANJAH

No, of course not. Just for this particular video that was the date range I chose, as I was trying to show the past 20 years. I can always do another video in the future, with earlier date ranges.

@@STRANJAHThat's cool. It's just if you're going to study the evolution of something, it's probably best to start at the beginning. Don't you think?

For me, definitely prefer the 2000s liquid but there are some very good 2020s tunes as well. I always try to blend both eras in my mixes on KZbin. Ironic that the 2020s tune is a remix of Oops by Tweet and Missy Elliott from 2002 😁

No problem and thanks for supporting! This is why I do this, to help out other producers who may just be starting out, or lacking some particular knowledge that I can offer. Glad it is getting across!

@STRANJAH I've dabbled in quite a bit of trance, so I'm more leaning towards melodic type jungle/D&B. Marcus Intalex is one of my favourite producers. Big fat sub bass and pads, powerful kick and snares, and evolving pads and lead sounds do it for me, though. Regardless of the producer. I'm going to delve into your channel once I get my new studio set up so I might just take you up on your offer, as EQ'ing DnB is probably quite tricky as it's mostly low end compression and sidechaining. Cheers

Really glad to read the eagerness and excitement in wanting to try out this genre of music for yourself. It really is quite different than Trance, but a challenge is good and with enough practice, you will be well on your way. Not meaning to be shameless here, but do check out my page, as I have tons of preset and sample packs, that will really help you on your way. www.deviantaudio.com

The Tim Reaper, Coco Bryce, and Kid Lib tracks were incredible (as they always are). For some reason, I tend to prefer tracks from the "newschool" producers that stay as true to that 90's sound as possible.
