Conor acting humble but only making excuses. Gave Nate no credit for his skills. But it wasn't just your inefficiency, Nate is a great fighter. He has better boxing than people think, but the reason he is so good is because like you saw when he beat Conor. Conor hit him with everything trying to hurt him, and I'm sure Nate felt those shots, but he is so experienced and composed. It's like he saw the exact moment that Conor realized he couldn't hurt him, and saw the panic. And then attacked and kept Conor on the back foot and basically drowned him in there. Nate said it before the fight, he better hope he gets that knockout, because if not it's gonna be a fucked up night for him. He knew it was Conor's only shot.

"He's got a lot of push, he's been doing great, he's got a lot of help behind him...I wish I had that same push." Diaz referring to the UFC's huge efforts to put Conor into the media spotlight, lots of publicity, and huge paychecks as a result. I know the squeaky wheel gets the grease, and Conor's antics have been a big factor in why the UFC chose to make a star out of him. I'm sure it would be difficult to have over 20 fights for the UFC over years of time, only to see someone new come in and have the UFC turn the guy into a multi-millionaire while you are still getting relative peanuts. However, Nate needs to get a belt around his waist for that to happen, since it seems to be the biggest factor in pulling in those huge UFC paychecks.
@theguru1909
@theguru1909 8 жыл бұрын
+megamania501 The thing is, Conor has the support of Irish people and the 38 million or so americans who claim to be Irish. Other countries don't support their mma fighters like the Irish do, simply because were a shit little country with no stars or famous people, only now and again do we get a world champion boxer or world class athlete, so when we do, we go go nuts and crazy and support them with everything we have. This is why Conor has the ufc where it is and where he is, because of us Irish fans, thousands of irish fans travel to see him, and thousands of irish fans who live in the usa also come to see him, and the american fans themselves. Nate, nor any other fighter in the UFC have that support, thats why conor is one of the most marketable athletes in the world. This loss means nothing, if anything it will help him grow and make him better. He will successfully defend his title im sure about that, then I hope nate beats rda and conor get's his rematch, because i think he would win a rematch based on lessons learned.

These guys forget Nate had about 10-11 days notice for this fight? Wasn't Nate the huge underdog here? So it was Nate taking the risks here more so than Conor.
@machiavelli-thatguyisme3365
@machiavelli-thatguyisme3365 5 жыл бұрын
The risk falls on the favorite because they have a lot to lose than someone who takes a fight on short notice. The 10 days notice was a blessing for Nate because he had the element of surprise against McGregor in the first match. You saw what happened in the 2nd Match McGregor had a gameplan specifically for Diaz. He chopped the legs and beat Diaz easy Skill wise. The only real threat in that Match was not Diaz but McGregor's stamina. Diaz did nothing but took McGregor shots until McGregor was Tired. I love Diaz but that's the True he was ineffective in the rematch it was McGregor stamina that made it a close fight.

Forgot how bummed DW looked after Diaz beat his guy. If it was other way around no doubt he would've had some backhanded comments toward Diaz over the next year.

I love seeing CM getting his face smacked in only to then bow down by going the "panic wrestle" and then get choked out.

Dana isn't the one who's pulling the numbers. The Fertittas are; if you're looking for somebody to hate regarding salaries, look to the quiet, suited men in the back..

"He was efficient"... "He was efficient"... "He was efficient"... McGregor said that a million times. Bottom line is you got your ass beat for talking a bunch of worthless crap about Nate that wasn't even necessary. Give Nate the credit he deserves. He took aaall your punches and beat your ass. The "Fast Boy of the beach of Cabo"... can fucking fight!!

+Eddie Home Buyer More like he take an ass whooping! Only Conor gassed out he would of destroyed him after 5 rounds, coz lets face face it, you aint knocking nate out! Conor is more skilled and if he could last the rounds he win the decision easily, wait for thr rematch. Conor win in 5 rounds!

+The Guru "Next fight"... "Next fight"... "Next fight"... is talk and speculation. Fuck the next fight. Every goddamn Conor fan disregards this fight and what happened the night he lost his shit. Everyone talked shit before this fight, just like Conor and he got his ass handed to him. I appreciate Conor's fighting ability, I simply don't respect how fucking obnoxious he is. He doesn't respect MMA or the people involved. Talks out the side of his neck and says the dumbest shit. It's simply petty and stupid. "Humbled in defeat" he says... we'll see how long he stays humble. As for being more skilled... he's strong and fast, but "skill" includes stamina and ground game... ummm yeah... Conor got neither on Nate in these two departments. To say Conor is more skilled is blatantly disregarding 2 very important aspects of MMA that have been proven since the inception of the UFC (Stamina & Ground)... a topic that doesn't need to be debated... Conor had neither in this fight. And because Conor didn't... he got face pounded into a rear naked choke and tapped out. Defeated by another man he completely disrespected. Diaz brothers are the shit. I like Conor... I think he's great. However, his childish, dumb talk is a joke and I won't root for an idiot who runs his mouth for the camera and the press. Its just stupid and shows a shallow side of the man I will never come to respect.

Why can't people just say that they had a good fight, these people can't admit that the other fighter was great. Give the other a little respect and just say they were great. I just don't understand it. These people are fighters, and you have to be respectful...
