Le 42e Symposium international en neurosciences de l’Université de Montréal - Insula: à la redécouverte du lobe caché du cerveau a réuni plusieurs chercheurs qui ont traité notamment du rôle du cortex insulaire dans les émotions, la prise de décision, la psychopathologie et les maladies neurologiques. Le symposium a eu lieu les 10 et 11 mai 2021.
The 42nd International Neuroscience Symposium of the Université de Montréal - Insula: Rediscovering the Hidden Lobe of the Brain brought together several researchers in INSULA’s research. They notably discussed the role of the insular cortex in emotions, decision-making, psychopathology and neurological diseases. The symposium took place on May 10th and May 11th, 2021.

I am an ecstatic epileptic seizure patient. Sometimes I stopped medication just to invite the seizure to came. Its so blissful like my soul being lifted out of my body and ready to fly to heaven (die). I feel so peaceful, complete and majestic at the same time. Like I'm part of God! I'd smile in awe, giggle a little of how beautiful this world is. Like enormous satisfied feeling! I feel superior and I feel like I'm everything! God! I missed my fits already! I started to have those fits last January. My jerkiness started after I had a motorcycle accident in 2020. The thing I noticed was there's back to back electrical sensation went up and down my spine from my brain to my coccyx. This happens everytime my fits came. The sensation of alternating electric happened in my final aura phase. Then it'll become more intense till the electrical sensation become fully engulfing my brain and my spine to coccyx. Then it'll release itself and makes me convulsing (tonic clonic). During this phase I went total blackout.

If there was a brain technology that could trigger this ecstatic aura whenever you want without the unpleasant effects of seizures, would you use such a technology?
