Does this tear at anyone else's nostalgic heart strings? I miss this game so much... I used to put the disc in and just let it play on the menu for hours sometimes, just because I loved listening to this soundtrack so much when I was young. It will always take me to a place I can never quite recreate in the same way, which makes me feel so sad somehow, and yet... it makes it that much more special. I am so glad I am not alone in having a bond with this game and such fond memories. Thank you Lionhead for contributing such a big part of my childhood, and sparking my imagination in ways I will hold dear forever.

These are the early areas in the game and since I could NOT do the merchant quest (to spooky for me lol) I've spent a lot of time in these areas with theses musics. This game felt like it opened my mind, cleared it to discover what life means. (I was like 4 I think when I first played the game) It made me dream of a world full of nature and magic surrounding me and Summer Field is the one song that hit the harder. Immense nostalgia. My brother and I loved this game and we have such fond memories of playing it. We'd be up for hours watching each other play our characters. My brother always did an evil build and I did a good/hero build and loved how diverse our experiences were. Despite the game not having all the content Peter Molyneux promised - the game was still fantastic and solidified itself as one of our most favourite games of all time. The music by Russell Shaw really brought Albion to life. This music really is food for the soul. Thank you for posting this, it's very quickly been favourited and I will enjoy listening to it on my journeys to and from work :D.

I put this game into my Xbox at 12 years of age on Christmas morning at 6am. I played until midday and got massively frustrated with that sneaking mission into the bandit camp. I recently replayed the Anniversary Edition and it was like revisiting an old friend. Everything in this game is crafted with love. A masterpiece. Up there with the greats.

@@TheFableHistorian I have no idea why they changed the whole atmosphere of Fable 1 in the later games. It had a charm to it that I feel could not be replicated by anyone else (I also feel the same way about the first Dungeon Keeper). I can't remember the exact quote, but I am sure in an interview one of the Carter brothers words it perfectly: "Fable isn't a game, it doesn't laugh and abuse you because you messed up. Fable is more like your best friend, who you can get drunk with." I never got that same vibe from the later games. :(

@@TheFableHistorian yeah it's not official yet, but there's a lot of rumors about it. It's supposedly being made by the company that does the Forza games. I don't think it would be called Fable 4 though, probably going to end up being a reboot. .

@@whitetiger85_60 Apparently Phil Spencer referenced the rumor in the last E3 (not the one that just happened), however there was no follow up this E3. At least, as far as I am aware. As much as I would love to see the series come back to life, knowing the charm and atmosphere that Lionhead provided might not be there, I can't help but say "live and let die". But hey, I could be proven wrong and maybe Playground Games will make a good game. Their best bet would definitely be a prequel (or as you said, a reboot) as a new follow-up game in the series would involve a lot of work thanks to the third one that we don't all like to talk about.

Avarice I do think the game could still have the charm. The games started losing the appeal due to them trying to change the formula I think. It’d be cool to see the Old Kingdom and when everything was more fantasy and even have William Black as a character or main character. The industrial theme was nice but it’d be nice to have more of a build up
