Autel im508 have done mercedes and audi xpad have done bmw and audi haven't done any porsche but I'm sure they both can do only speaking from my experience.

So..I have a 2006 honda civic which I had to put a used ECM/ ECU in the car. And now it needs to be programmed for the car to run. So which one would you recommend or which one will do what I needed to do to get the car to run?? Thanks

Both will program the ecu and rewrite the old vin.to.the new ecu also.

Any update? AutoProPad which is the USA version of the xtool pad 3/elite is very expensive here. Even the yearly updates. Would like to know if the updates the AutoProPad gets are the same with the xtool.

They should work you just can't update it to the newest software available, if you are programing a car most older cars you have to have the key cut

I know this is old video I don't know how about USA market but in Europe the xtool can't come even close to autel autel even im508 is more professional and capable specially with xp400 because xtool kc501 can't do even half of it not gonna lie I did not owe the pad3 but I owe x100 max one of the latest xtool products with advanced key programming I sold it after week it's just not good now bought back autel im508s day and night

Hello I like your honest review. I am considering to invest in one these tools, I have asked you a question in your video on xtool D7 about Toyota key programming particularly G and H chips in all keys lost situation with the D7. I owned a 6 years old xtool x100 pro key programmer that left me down on a Toyota highlander 2014 with G chip. The tool says the hardware is too old to do the immobilizer reset on that vehicle. So I became worried that I have to invest in a newer tool in order to keep up. Do you think the xtool D7 and x100 pad3 could do all keys lost for those chips?

Xpad 3 the autel sucks on American cars I am learning now but the autel is more user friendly the xtool requires you to know how to navigate useing the tool but shouldn't be to bad.

Very useless product. Not perfected and very poor quality. And the support is missing when you contact the support, they don't respond, they answer after a month, maybe two months if someone answers. I have one was able to help me with only 5 cars the functions do not work properly. The wireless connection disappears by itself. In my case it stopped working physically. Very few keys can program! If the car is after 2008, the probability that it will program you is very small! If you have to return it under warranty, they are not responsible if they will receive it because it should be sent only by airmail and at the expense of the sender! In short, I do not recommend these manufacturers or the support! If you try to reset it to factory settings and the wireless does not work, the tablet simply does not start and sits on the locked screen, respectively, the tablet cannot be used. You just have an unnecessary piece of garbage and wasted time and money!

Goodto know, thanks. We have IM508 and XP400pro. But never used the XP400 yet (only 200 needed so far). Unfortenately living in a small town, but yet Autel have done everything yet needed. OK, feels a way bit slow, but with the amount of keys programmed we are very pleased soo far. Not one any eeprom yet. Few keys hardly pays for the early update cost. But we hope it will increase. So far Autel have been 100% (still glad for the choise). But sometimes, yes, painfully slow.

My two cents hopefully this help some people, Just one thing the Xtool Pad 3 don't compare even close to e Autel IM608 is not the same at all, Autel Im608 is very fast but is not just that, has all the scanner capabilities for any shop like a big robust scanner not just basic stuff, plus you can make the keys, Xtool is very basic in that, like the autel IM508 is just faster, Not sure if Xtool can clone computers,Cas modules and do all the stuff even the autel Im508 can do with the gbox I know they have the key emulator but unsure of the capabilities, Plus Autel can make the new universal autel keys that are amazing can be programed to a lot of cars vs Xtool that you have to use just regular keys or have a Xhorse to create universal keys
