I was at Fab Rats today, it looks great with the new driveway. The Rat Shack has moved across the parking lot from where it was against the shop. We need to start a support group to help Grandma get a ride (tricked out golf cart) to go back and forth from the shop to the Rat Shack. We enjoyed talking with Grandma today.

Paul, the issue you having with the new ( to you ) GMC steering may just be that the fluid is old and burnt, smell it and you will see. The problem I find a lot is that people do not change power steering fluid. It's constantly under high pressure and gets hot. Give it a try.

2-3" into 1-4" actually causes a minor restriction. The magic numbers: 2-3" is 2x3²='18', where 1-4" is 1x4²='16' or an actual flow reduction of '-2'. A 2-3" into 1-4¼"('18.06') would maintain equalibrium. A 2-3" into 1-4½" would give '20¼' which would eliminate the minor restriction with a flow increase of '2¼'.

I thought the reason for the 4 post in the new shop was installing exhaust systems so the bender was moved over with it. If recall correctly, only one of several exhaust systems was built in the new shop; the rest were done in old shop, running back & forth to the bender.
