I wanted more info on block printing (have printed dozens of yards of fabric, but can always learn more), and am delighted to have found your videos and handouts. I will be sharing your program with others in the East Kingdom!

Once again I missed you live (it was my last day of work)... thank you for posting these and I hope to join you live for your 3rd class! Someone asked about treating the wood before printing. So my experience in my college printmaking classes (which was oil based inks on paper) we treated woodblocks with spray shellac before using them. I suspect that might not translate to printing acrylic/latex on fabric though. I don't yet have enough experience with fabric printing to see how differently it behaves. But I intent to test it out at some point. (edit - we only used shellac on wood blocks... not linoleum)

That's a really great tip! I'd be curious to try that on some of our wood blocks, because I'm finding that the more used they get, the more likely the pigments are to stick to the block, so there might be something to that!
