I loved watching your video! I'm French and I went on Sunday, so sad I missed you, I could have translated everything for you (English teacher here^^). Maybe next time. I've been going to the Creations and Savoir Faire salon (great French accent, Rachel!) with my mum for 10 years now, and I've always loved it. I'd say the quality has been improving these past few years (for us who sew), with more and more pattern companies and fabric shops coming to the fair. I really enjoyed having new fabric shops selling other fabrics than just cotton, with pretty motifs that suit a younger audience of seamstresses too (I'm 27). Eglantine et Zoe might be a brand you want to look into as far as quality, variety of fabric and patterns are concerned. And the owner is so nice. For you all English-speaking dressmakers, the Louis-Antoinette pattern company you showed is great, they also release free patterns twice a year for a competition (like the Alma dress you can see in the video, in a pink floral on the stand), and I believe the instructions are in English too. I obviously love the Atelier Brunette fabrics and the France Duval Stalla. I bought fabric from them a few times and was never disappointed in the quality. Thank you for the video =)

What a lovely day you had in Paris! Thanks for sharing this with us - I am 'maybe' planning a European trip next Winter (I live in the US) and this helps with planning sewing-oriented activities. Lovely fabric haul!

The Toaster will be great in the quilted fabric because it will make the neck stand up nice and straight. It will give it great structure, and be really cozy! I did one in double jersey scuba on my channel, and it is my favourite sweater of all time.

Hello!! Quick question when you find material how many metres do you buy? I am tall (6'2) so am thinking four metres would make me anything?! Loving your channel, recently back into sewing and learning to draft patterns xx

We have that quilted silky soft fabric in the store I work at but not the beautiful baby blue color.
