I am a quilter of 35 years and want to suggest that in larger projects when you make your 'sandwich' , if your backing fabric would be visible in the final project to cut the batting and backing a little larger than your top. The quilting sometimes takes up the backing and can leave spaces at the edges without full coverage on the back. I enjoy traditional English paper piecing, but really enjoyed the quicker method that you have demonstrated. Welcome to the crazy world of quilting!

Great ! I am pleased to have stumble on this new beautiful idea . I have been thinking of making a hexagon quilt yet know my hands wouldn’t be able to follow through now. This has given me a fun idea to try without the hand sewing . Thanks

I am so glad you enjoyed the project. We all have various reasons why we cannot do a traditional quilt. 💕 This seems a little bit like cheating but I tell myself there are no rules in creativity 💕😂💕

Well done bless you everyone of us need to start somewhere, no matter how advanced you are m they didn’t start that way, I am very much where you are in learning stages m but the more we do the easier it will become . This huge 7x7 ft EPP hexagons quilt I have just made I did ever think in a million years I would have made it and it look as beautiful as it does. The long arm quilting was expensive I gues to have done m but a first class job has been made of finishing it off, so worth every penny, it is in 95% liberty fabric , I just love the liberty quilting fabric . The tana lawn is for me far to thin l but does also look very nice . But I don’t feel it’s really suitable for quilts . However that’s just my opinion . Others may say I am wrong . Keep your great work up , your a pleasure to watch and more so as you are learning it’s helpful to see others need to try things as well to be sure they are right . Xx

Hi! Just stumbled upon your channel! Instant subscriber! Loved your collage pumpkin video! OMG! This project is ah-mazing! I am currently English paper piecing or EPP a hexi quilt. It may take me a century to complete it lol but I am using 3/8” Hexie’s. lol. Talk about tiny. They are measuring 2inches across once they are sewn together. It is taking 7of them to make one little flower. I figured it will take thousands of these little Hexie’s. Crazy? Probably! lol. This project is gorgeous! Your eye for color placement and fabric textures. I’m jealous! Thanks for all you do. Off to binge watch your other videos!

Hi… Love your message! I am sure your quilt is spectacular. I think I should start one so I can get a quarter of the way and leave it to my family to finish…🤣 I’m sure they would curse me 😂 Thank you for all your kind words. I look forward to conversation in the future 💗

This turned out great! I really like the way the organza softens all the fabric colors. Thank you for this terrific idea.

Wouldn't it be cool to cut bigger hexagons from your fused hexagons, attach them together and make something from that? It would be hexagons in hexagons.

Did you use just the fabric itself, with the hexagons or did you dew them in any way , when you had cut them out. Going to definitely this one . Unsure about the organza I must say, . I will be planning a basket for my creams brushes at the side of the bed . Thanks for today . Ah I see you did on the cricut machine with steam a seam . So I guess you left it like that .

Hi… I used the organza on top so that I did not have to worry about sewing every hexagon edge. 🤪 I think it would be nice without it but not sure how it would hold up. Thanks for sharing 💕

On my hexagon quilt , the long arm quilters did a pattern small enough so it went over all the hexagons. I used a fusible wadding beguine the hexies but you could you the same on any item you did really it’s permanent then . Like yo pu did on your coasters that covered all really . A fusible wadding would be there and not wash out as well. If that is any help to you .x

Hi… I made my weights. They are large washers that I bought at the hardware store. I then glued Liberty of London strips around them. So much prettier. I hope this helps. Thanks 😍
