You have done a fantastic job 👍🏽 I feel much more confident to have ago myself then after i have watched more experienced people doing them. I think its because it is new to you too and are more aware of the little things that more experienced sewers forget about they just do it not thinking we may not completely understand. Thank you. Bye 💁🏼♀️

I ran across 2 big green plastic bags of mostly different holiday fabric at a Good Will in a near by town .I was shocked at the extremely reduced price and could not resist and grabbed it up .One of the bags had all the makings of a Christmas book for kids--> pictures, words and all..The rest was simply beautiful pictorial mostly holiday oriented fabric .farms , fall sens , snowy nights, pumpkins, etc Christmas sens Easter etc .I dumped it all into 2 big 10gallon tuppers and spent hours going thru it .I can see mounting it onto card stock for cards.beautiful work thanks for sharing !!

Why oh why did I watch this video Andrea??? LOL!!! Now, guess what I have fallen in love with - a full fabric only journal, because your two are simply lovely!!! And I am so wanting one!!!! The bad thing is, I have not nearly enough fabrics, laces, etc. and, a sewing machine that I haven't even used for 22 1/2 years!!! So, I can't say I'm exactly ready to begin one, ha ha!!! I bet I will end up having to buy a new sewing machine, but I need one to also sew around paper/card journaling too! But, seriously,your fabric/lace journals are so very beautiful but I can see they take a whole lot of skill too, and I'm a newbie at all of it, so better wait a while!!!! (If I can!!)

andreea I just watched your video today and I am a seamstress and thought that you did a very good job Kudos girl I was going to suggest if you do another they do have a product that you can iron on which would fuse the two Fabrics together so your lining would then stick to your cover and then you could sew it without worry about puckers ..but you done it all on your own ...good for you!!! thanks for sharing...

Awesome video, glad you included sewing a section. Just checked the distance from my sewing foot to the edge of the machine.... 6 inches. You look like you have more space here. As you side piece would first need 7inches, correct?

It is beautiful! I wonder if it would be easier to sew tabs into the spine side in the pages when you put them together, then sew those to the lining, then sew that to the cover? Like an album binding I guess? Just thinking out loud after watching you struggle. :) Love the book !! Tyfs!

@ImGinaMarie3 жыл бұрын
I just love this, it seems so authentic...are the text bits paper or fabric? Also what do you think about making double pages instead of single? You would make the first and last pages first then sew them to lining and laying consecutive signatures on top and repeating to the center...wondering if it would be easier then trying to align each page..
@artymaze3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Most of what I used was fabric. Both ways would work but you would need to come in a bit each double spread as the outside layers has further to go. X
@janettelance1478 Жыл бұрын
how do you print on fabric for the labels you sewed in? I just love this fabric book and want to start one right away.

Do you bondaweb the linings on or just sew around edges? Your journal is amazing. Mine is coming out a bit flat. Wondered whether to pad it out with a light weight quilting wadding on pocket and plain pages. What's your advice ? So loving following your tutorials. 😊
@artymaze Жыл бұрын
You can use bondaweb as I do sometimes. Also yes pad it out a little if a bit flat mine wasn’t because some of the scraps were quite thick. Go by your gut instinct and how you like to feel a journal. X

Hi Andrea silly question alert ... Did you use the snippets for pages as well as some fabric pieces or snippets just for pockets ? I’m a bit confused 🤔 xx
@artymaze5 жыл бұрын
Carol RecraftedBoutique I used snippets for the envelopes and a couple of pages and cover. The rest were fabric covered with lace . Theres not much snippets left but what is will be used on tags. Should of explained that in the beginning still learning myself but had a lot of fun xx
