I think it is incredible you take the time to blend the welds even though they're gonna be seam sealed anyway. Not many builders would put in that level of effort.

@SalvagetoSavage Жыл бұрын
There are going to be some extra supports added to the trans tunnel, so we're not too concerned with rigidity since it's going to be added back in with additional bracing.

We got a bunch hanging on the wall. Like the old saying goes, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him put on a face shield when he picks up a cutoff wield to chop a bunch of rust out of an old chevy." Or something like that

@SalvagetoSavage Жыл бұрын
There's a lot of stuff that gets worked on and fixed that doesn't make it on the episode. We try to make sure as much gets in to the episode as possible, but if it really stops the flow of the video, sometimes it gets left out!

good job, why the 1/4 stip and seam sealer instead of doing a full lip and weld to the cowl to close it off?

Beautiful work but why use a 6L90e transmission why not a 4l80e or even 4l60e with alot less software issues and when you install high performance parts they tend to fight with the programming or software updates that will be needed further down the road for a 6 speed automatic?
@SalvagetoSavage Жыл бұрын
We wanted a 6 speed in this thing because chances are, especially down here in South Florida, this truck will see a bit of highway cruising. We didn't want this thing screaming down the highway trying to hold 85mph getting from Miami to Boca. The main issue with these 6L90 are usually the torque converter, but we have a fix for that if you stick around a few more episodes. And our aftermarket controllers and ECUs should handle the programming no problem. A 4l80 or 60 would work great in this build too, it's just wasn't in the cards for this build or customer!
@AlexLopez-cf3he Жыл бұрын
@@SalvagetoSavage definetly sticking around to see more and interested to see that fix. 💪🤝💪
