If it's not building air up on the daf. Top off the air compressor inside there's a Gaskit that breaks. You not get it to take sir when that's gone. You have to buy the full set off gaskits but you only need the one out the set. We been thru many over the years

Good luck drilling through that spec lift pin with it being a piece of hydraulic ram they are case hardened for about the first 5mm under the chrome plating, you should have got the person who done the spacer plate and pin struggle with drilling it.

The only way to stop it coming out if you can't drill it is weld a strip of steel across the bottom of the pin and if you ever need the pin out just cut the welds

There fitters and there’s fitters, if in doubt give a clout . That’s probably why the other seized up , coz the bellend assembling it burred the pin and damaged the holder . Line it correctly, you will probably find the lower coupling is now bent or out of shape.

Welding is shocking “ nice thick weld” the only thing thick about is the person who welded it. You need to be a coded welder when working on LOLER Equipment. If something fails and someone is hurt your going to be eating porridge or end up with a mega fine and no yard.
