Fabricating the Inlet Tube | E30 SUPERCHARGER BUILD

Creation of this inlet tube took a few weeks. It connects the throttle body to the intake hole in the supercharger. In the end it is all welded up and the largest hurdle is complete on the journey to hitting maaaad boost in this old German rust bucket. I progressed through different trains of thought on how to complete this task and had to redo some parts but the final product does not interfere with any other components and appears to work perfect.

cut and mocked everything up and had some help welding aluminum.

Will you're ecm and fuel pump be able to keep up with this set up?

Sup Ya I put a walbro 255 in it so the pump is lit And for engine control IdK... but I have a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator (FMU) for keeping the air to fuel ratios good

supercharger needs bearings or somthing. the pulley. sounds rough when it spins. maybe yours needs lube

Yeah in a newer episode we got a new supercharger of the same model and put lube in it as well for the needle bearings. Spoiler alert it’s still a little clappy but it works well still!
