First Box: Pairs of fabrics, each piece made of a natural substance. These will naturally present contrast in texture. Each pair is a different color and pattern from the other pairs.
Second Box: Pairs of fabrics which show different weaves. A large table and a blindfold.
Presentation:
Invite a child
Introduce the activity
Have the child bring the box and you bring the blindfold and the tissue
Go together to a counter, invite the child to wash his hands and rub both hands with towels
Go back to the table and sit down
Open the box as usual manner
Take out the fabrics (one set of 6 pieces)
Close the box and put it on the top right corner
Take one fabric and feel with both and whole hands while closing your eyes
Give the fabric to the child and Invite the child to repeat
Have him place the fabric in the middle of the table, start setting the row
Take another fabric and do the same until all the fabrics line up horizontally
When finish
Open the box and take the other set and put them in a pile
Close the box
Tell the child that we are going to match using the blindfold
Put on the blindfold
Take one fabric, isolate it, feel it with one hand
Find the matching one from the fabric on the row and put it slightly up
Do the same thing with the other fabric until all matched
When finish
Open the blind fold
Check if they are the same
Take one set, mix them and put them in a pile
Invite the child to do the activity
When he done, show him to clean up
Put the fabric back in the box, one set next to the other
