I like how Jinx is fully capable of making a mechanical arm with multiple functions without the slot machine mechanism but she was like "Why not make it fun?" It fits both her and Sevika so well, plus it's made from parts at the arcade Jinx used to go to with Vi.

From what I’ve heard, it’s meant to match her personality as a gambler (as she was shown in season 1). Just as the weapons of the protagonists (and villains) match theirs.

Sevika's the last of the true believers, at least among the Undercity's leadership. She's loyal to the cause of Zaun's independence, so while she may have wanted Silco to cut Jinx loose and get his head back in the game in S1, she's not going to sell out one of their own to Piltover -- even if it's someone who grinds her gears as much as Jinx.

Sevika's favorite pastime is gambling. Jinx actually pays attention to Sevika and knows how to get her to be less Ogre-like during fights. Chaos = unpredictability, higher chances of winning.

The arm that Jinx made for Sevika is exactly like Jinx herself, colorful, unpredictable, fun in a terrifying way, and extremely destructive. It also fits Sevika's penchant for gambling. In a way, it symbolizes the two of them coming together.

5:55 I think the difference is that smeech was suggesting removing jinx from zaun altogether, and in s1 she just wanted her out of the gang/for silco to stop relying on a loose canon she saw as incompetent. She’s for protecting zaun and zaunites, I think, and will do whatever will get that result best regardless of what that actually is.

I don't think she hated, hated Jinx. She just didn't like that Jinx was good for the cause back then because of how unstable she was. Now, with Jinxs accepting, she is Jinx and not hearing voices in her head (as she said it was too quiet or something like that) she can concentrate her genius into fighting for the cause. Free Zaun! Although I think the direction of the show is going bigger.

@@lilunette9319 She didn`t see what Silco saw in Jinx at first, she just saw her as a loose cannon who messed up their operations with her crazy antics, it was only later she realized they were both loyal to Silco and his vision of what Zaun could be and they bonded over running Silco`s errands when he was alive.

Also, no shade, but people who are surpriesed Sevika didn't want to give Jinx to Piltover didn't pay attention to her character. They teaming up, sure, not that obvious, bur Sevika is a Zaun girl, through and through. Jinx might annoy her and she saw her as a liability, but she is not only Silco's daughter, she is one of her fellow zaunites. You might fight your siblings (to the death sometimes) but you don't throw them under the bus for the government, at least on her eyes. It's also why she was so angry with Vander, he was not willing to fight the topside for his people.

I was an Imagine Dragons fan and saw the music video before I knew anything about Arcane, and i was like "oh my god this seems so interesting I'd love to see more" but then I saw "league of legends" and just assumed it was a game thing and was disappointed lol. Then a few weeks later I saw everyone raving about it and was very happy to learn that it was in fact a TV show haha

In season 1 we had a pair of establishing shots and songs to establish what life was like in Zaun In episode 1, it wasn’t exactly a nice place to live, but there was a sense of community, and the feeling that you COULD live there. In episode 4, it was still technically livable, but it had become a cesspool of drugs, sex, and indulgence Now in season 2 all we have are goons hunting down a child and Jinx walking down the street, and it’s JUST AS EFFECTIVE, just with that, we get the message that now, Zaun is a place where you don’t even want to EXIST IN

There is a BIG difference between wanting to keep a teenage girl, who despite how talented she was, away from operations that she was messing up & selling out a fellow Zaunite to Piltover despite it being said girl. Sevika is loyal to the cause not to the leader of said cause and the cause she was loal too was an independent Zaun which is why she betrayed Vander and would have just as easily betrayed Silco if he ever faltered and there was someone better to take the reins

But explaination is even in #Blood sweat and tears cinematic Spoilers and notes . . . . . . . . . . . . Arcane season 2 is great. 1. Singed and two-headed murck wolf from the game. 2. My theory on Leblack and the black rose; 3. Mel and her survival due to the Wolf = Kindred #Cinematic Blood sweat and tears 4. Janna and her legend, believers, statues,... 5. Jinx reflection, loss of finger, burial of Silco 6. Viktor and his transformation and healing thanks to Arcane 7. And I quite like the little children that remind me of Teema. I can't wait for act 2 and 3.
