Best face off I've ever seen. The amount of respect both fighters have for each other is the most captivating part of the face off. Win or lose I am a big fan of both fighters for their current accomplishments, we cannot take anything away from them, even Lemiux with losses in the past. Miguel Cotto is a great and respected fighter with 4 losses on his record so there is no shame in a warrior taking losses because true warriors rise and become champions again and again. It is a shame because I like both fighters so much I don't want to see either of them lose. Good luck to both. I am with David Lemiux for this fight.

I think we are going to see Lemieux not have a dam clue honestly. Golovkin is going to walk this guy back and pressure him very tactically, jab jab big right hand right hand, then to the body, keeping this guy moving to his right, then when he puts them ear muffs on loading on big heavy left hooks, step back allowing the big wide right hand to miss, then follow up with big left hook once again. Rince repeat, the jab is going to be key here followed by Golovkin's right hand. If Lemieux gasses, it's over for him, the body work of Golovkin will all but finish him, then go back up stairs and let the ref stop the fight or his corner once again. The longer this fight goes on, the lesser the chance of Lemieux, he better try and get an early knock out or there is little to no chance of success. Go for KO early David or hope to hell you get lucky.

+d fisher Yeah sense that that would be the strategy. I love both fighters, but I've got GGG winning by KO in the 4th or 5th. However, one of the main factors that could potentially change the game in this fight is the fact that David Lemieux is such an aggressive fighter who charges forward like a raging bull and really puts the pressure on, which is a style unlike anything GGG has experienced before - at least not on that level. GGG has such a great chin though, and above all he's keeps a very steady pace, which helps conserve energy while constantly on the move to cut his opponent off. Not to mention he's so damn accurate with the way he times his shots - especially that left hook - all that rest behind the hardest jab in boxing. And that power?!? Shiiiiiiit...lol

Adam L No doubt, yeah we have yet to see Golovkin pressed like David should be able to do at times. Who knows he may come in like Tyson Spinks and just take him out lol. I wouldn't be thinking going 12 rounds, go for broke right away, really can't beat Golovkin over 12 rounds, not enough skills. Yeah I think that's why we've wanted this fight for so long, he's probably the only guy at MW that has the power and mental fortitude to risk trying to beat up Golovkin. Do you think Lemieux is stronger inside? Seems to me on the inside he has more power up close, at range Golovkin is a tremendous boxer, but in close I just see David getting off the bigger punches?

d fisher Personally I think GGG has more natural power - like the type of power that's just scary, and that you're not suppose to have, especially when you're a GGG lookin kind of guy lol. Now even though Lemieux definitely has great power, a lot of it has to do with the way he throws those big overhand/haymaker type punches. As a result he misses a lot of his shots, and you already know that those type of power punches have to use up a lot of energy, but at the same time I saw David Lemieux go 12 rounds in his last fight with N'Dan Hassan without what looked like much difficulty, and he appears to throw some of those big devastating punches with the speed most boxers throw their straight punches. I don't think he;s as reckless as some people may think, because I've watched some of his highlights from previous fights and they were absolutely sick! He's one hell of a counter puncher, and when he times that left hook after his opponent fires off a jab, it's lights out.He's got good head movement too, and has a solid defense. Overall though idk know if anyone right now can handle Golovkin on fire like he is now, which is why I almost didn't want Lemieux to take that fight because I know there is a good chance he's getting KO'd, and I just found out about him and he's become one of my favorite fighters to watch lol! I don't want his confidence level to end because he loses to GGG, but at the same time I don't wanna see GGG get his first loss either lol. Both guys have bright futures ahead imo...

lol I hear ya bro, it's nasty these days losing the 0, but it's no big deal, someone has to lose, and David if he does lose is very mentally strong, I don't think losses hurt the guys, some guys get shaken, others learn from it, and I think he's that type of guy. Yeah interesting points you make, and he did seem to go hard the whole 12 rounds, so if his stamina is better now, that's definitely going to help him. Yeah that's true on the speed of those big shots of his, they are coming in fast. Left hook is set up nice too. Though he is pretty reckless at times, if he tires he just keep throwing big wide punches and they come in much slower and his foot work goes to crap quick. That's if he tires. It is likely that he will gas because the pressure coming at him will be equal to his, he won't be able to take long breaks like he does normally. Yeah great fight, I'm not sure I care who wins, just glad we are getting all these good fights right now, and with great fights we get more great fights. If it's a great fight, a second why not.

d fisher LOL yea man you already know this fight is gonna end in a KO or TKO, and because both fighters are the types that pressure their opponents by only coming forward (especially in Lemieux's case) inevitably it's gonna be a clash of chaos between the two! But you're right even if GGG gets a loss it still doesn't change the fact that he's a beast with a great career ahead of him. I also didn't realize how much older he is than what I assumed, which I was thinking around like 26, but I heard he's like in his early 30's or so, so time is of the essence. If David loses then he'll have 3 losses on his record, but like you said I still think be able to bounce back and keep knocking dudes out left and right. Another dude I've been watching closely is Sergey Kovalev. That man is a monster, and the real deal from what I've seen. I would love to see him vs Andre Ward as well! This fight is gonna be awesome. Been looking forward to this for a while now. 1. this fight will probably start off as a boxing match and then turn into a war by the end of the first round. Both of these guys look like they're willing to go all Hagler-hearns on each other. 2. I doubt this fight will be as awesome as hagler hears, but i do see this as a foreman-lyle match up. 3. Golovkin i intimidating as fuck. He's always smiling. I never thought he had a dark side. 4. 7 days for what might be a fight of the year candidate.
