Do you realize that this war is because of the Biden/Harris administration ? you do realize it is our own tax money that was sent to them for aid to help their people and instead used it to get weapons for the attack of jews ! In answer to your question: The overwhelming majority of both military and diplomatic opinion comes from the hard earned, direct experience and reality of being in the trenches of resolving these terrible challenges versus armchair strategists. Only Netanyahu agrees with your stance and he is not doing it from an unselfish position. His supporters, the ultra-Orthodox, are exempt from all military service! How convenient for them to back his view and send the nation’s soldiers in to be used as cannon fodder instead of themselves! Hundreds of thousands of Israelis today expressed their objection to this position. They are the ones who have suffered directly and do not find that ego is more important to reality. No one fully wins in war and anyone who has ever lived through one directly will tell you this. Contrary to the belief of many, the majority of Palestinians do not support Hamas but, like voters anywhere else, can do nothing about what their leaders can do. They have borne a terrible terrible price for what their leaders have chosen to do. Two million of them are displaced from their homes, following the instructions of the Israeli government, only to be fired on there and moving yet again. Doctors working there from around the world are beside themselves at what they are witnessing and having to cope with. Does Netanyahu really believe that refusing to stop until he has wiped out every single member of Hamas is a realistic goal? Has destroying every single member of the enemy happened in any previous war??? Should every single hostage die and more thousands of Palestinian civilians die - already 2/3 are women and children - in pursuit of Netanyahu’s goal?
