- it´s well known that drugging the Tigers is the way it´s done several places in the South East Asia. Full grown Tigers accepting hundreds of Tourist up close is proof enough that something is not right. Tigers a by nature very lone rangers, that will travel very long distances just to mate - and when they meet its even dangerous for both parts. If you have a "normal" zoo with Tigers, just jump into their area and check it out. - If it was only one Tiger then perhaps it could be the way it was raised a long with a very friendly and social personality - but Tigers by Nature are clever, fearsome and extremely strong predators.

W. savage - Sorry but I'm not impressed with your expertise on tiger behaviour. Captive tigers are trained to behave "safely" next to human visitors - this is often quite brutal training - the tiger s do not derive pleasure out of being in captivity nor can you anthropomorphise fake feelings or opinions upon them.
@monz11997 жыл бұрын
Wolf Savage do you really believe in what you say? I insist: If you think that the tigers do not mind being touched why do not you go to Africa to a wild place and not "adapted" to touch the tigers and the lions to see if they do not mind being touched? Is it not that there they do not react naturally because they know in inferiority of conditions? On the other hand, you do not deceive anyone, it is clear that the tiger is not happy, whatever you say, what we all see is that the tiger is uncomfortable not to say annoying.

If domestic cat and tiger body language are the same/similar: Baby Tiger: Wanted a nap (laying down; not really reaching out to play with the leaves) Giant Tiger 1: Was annoyed about being pet, but not annoyed enough to do something about it (tail flicking somewhat sharply and broadly; ears pointed backwards but not laying straight down; scooching away from the visitor but not growling or baring teeth) Giant Tiger 2: Was alert and taking in his surroundings, but didn't seem fearful; it makes sense to me that he got up to play but was kinda languid about it (tail flicking but not sharply or broadly; ears gently moving back and forth; looking around) I don't think waving the cardboard box on a stick around is "forcing" them to play any more than me dangling a string in front of my cats is "forcing" them to play. I'm a little confused as to what the rattling device that they waved in front of the Giant Tigers' faces was meant to do, though it doesn't seem like it hurt or scared them. Going *just* from this video, it doesn't seem like there's overt physical or substance abuse going on, and the tigers seem well-fed and -groomed. When it comes to interacting with the tourists, they seem to run a spectrum between indifferent and moderately irritated. I'm not crazy about the keepers trying to get the baby tiger up and moving when he clearly wanted to sleep, although I think enticing Giant #2 to play was appropriate because he was already alert and seemed to be building up some energy. They do need more space to roam around in, but I can definitely see how the facility is trying to enrich their environment (i.e. toys, the pool, the decor). Overall, this video gives the impression that the facility does not treat the tigers cruelly but could be more considerate of their wants/needs (much in the same way that most cat owners could be more considerate of their pets' wants/needs); and the tigers don't particularly enjoy interacting with humans, but it isn't torture for them, either.

As you say yes they are beautiful and majestic. But it's wrong to treat them like domestic cats. They are wild animals and should be treated as such, with respect. Zoos like this are on a par with how circuses used to be. If they were being bred to be released back into the wild then that is acceptable. However, what they are doing here is very wrong, on so many counts. If you know anything about cats generally you can see by the positioning of their ears and their twitching tails that they aren't liking being messed with. I don't know how they are keeping them so docile, perhaps they are drugged, to an extent that makes them sluggish.

So before making a stupid comment, please put things into perspective first. I don't agree with whole taking photos and setting the cat up for the perfect photo, i would much rather respect the big cat by giving it a tummy rub and being relaxed and calm around it so I can get the best experience with the tiger and so that the tiger knows I respect it for who he/she is. People who are saying these tigers are drugged are simply delusional, none of these tiger there were drugged, please stop making stuff up or find some bloody evidence first. Or they're tranquilized, or both. I think the abuse must be at least in effect for them to be behaving like that. They have been trained to do exactly what the keepers want them to do, and they don't seem to miss a beat in that. They're like automated robots.

THEY SHOULD BE FREE IN THE WILD

If they set these tigers free they would all die.
@bestlions6 жыл бұрын
Yes the most common response of stupid people. So we can invest in zoo facilities etc but not for the preservation of big cats? I think most of us rather die on their feet than live on their knees. Just like us I'm pretty sure they rather be free and live knowing there are hunters, than live a lifelong in a cage like a pet. Plus governments can clearly invest in wildlife preservation. It's just not on their agenda. Idiot.
@erikssc6 жыл бұрын
THESE tigers will die because they are all born in captivity. They can never be set free. Why don't you address the governments then instead of name calling ordinary You Tubers like most of the ignorant commenters on here. Until someone are willing to invest in paradises for these tigers without any income in return these places are the option to keep the species alive in the long run. Whether you like it on not.

I have never seen SO many beautiful, magnificent cats which look like they've lost the will to live. This is an absolute disgrace and should be closed immediately. Then have the cats transferred to someone responsible, such as Kevin 'R' at his sanctuary in South Africa, where they would have the relative freedom to roam within a safe, patrolled environment. It's SO, SO sad that these regal creatures have ended up like this. It's just as bad as a circus. These cats deserve MUCH better than this. I'd feed the damned owners to the Tigers ! 🙁 🐯

You post suggests that you approve of the situation reported in the video - I think it is disgraceful and a comment like "tiger are beautiful" does nothing to dispel my feeling of disgust when watching this ill-informed **** "getting close" with animals at their expense. THHe truth is that however good captive tigers may look on the outside there is a very good chance they are in fact pretty unhealthy both physically and mentally. They are unable to exercise properly as they would in the wild and their diet may not be up to scratch either. As for their psychological state, you need to forget about anthropomorphic judgements and realise that the unnatural conditions these animals are held in leads to all sorts of behavioural signs that indicate they are stressed - so not so beautiful at all.

In all honesty, you need a better way to bring awareness to these types of issues, if that's your aim. I am not going to discuss this 'Tiger' topic in depth, because you'll probably have a better view on the situation than me and I just don't want to (I don't do research on it because frankly it's out of my power to make a difference to them, at the moment and I don't have time for it - selfish human act, judge away) I said and quote, "Tigers are beautiful!" Becareful how freely you assume what the thoughts of people are. Remember where you are, the internet. I am no way obligated to fully disclose how I feel about the situation. You literally just bashed someone who agrees with your thoughts. So please, calm down, realise what my comment stands for and . Have a good day.

I got to pet/kiss/hug a Bengal tiger in the early 80s at Marine world in California. They were walking it through the park. I don’t believe they usually did that for show but to move them from place to place. I’m not sure. Anyways I asked if I could pet him and they said yes. So I started at his lower back and worked my way up to his head where I gave him and hug and kiss. I noticed the majority of people stood back and gave the tiger a wide berth. Not me lol
@j.ga.s.73316 жыл бұрын
the tigers look well fed well groomed and there in nothing wrong with that part. Yeah tigers should be free out in the wild but most of the wild ones are usually hunted and killed for their fur or simply die of diseases. I can see these tigers are very very healthy just a bit maybe overweight but well taken care of.

i mean if i could touch the cutie pie on his head and have nose to nose that could be awesome.... but he/she looks sad... why they are trying to make him do stuffs like jump and run n all... he is a F-ing tiger... he need to be wild and all... i live in kolkata and in our zoo we have a few cuties they are also sad since i think they would love to be in wild. but still at least once when i was there people were gathering around it's place only and there was quite a noise while the tigress was sleeping in good winter sun... she got annoyed and actually roared and suddenly all the visitors went silent and one evet spitted the water he was drinking... it was so good..
