36:57 I find it funny that Nikita says “midcore” and yet EFT is still considered one of the most hardcore shooters on the market. I think they struck a really good balance between impossible to play casually, and this game is hard to play casually but is still possible. That’s what makes Tarkov special and why a bunch of the triple A market hasn’t been able to tap into it. They’ve been dumbing down games for years, and well they are afraid of making things too complex. They just don’t understand that we are smarter than what they think we are (triple A studios that is)

When it comes to pve, it cannot be said it was suprised. There was a reason why spt became a thing. And for years, it was said that lots of player place are in their 30+ and they dont have too much time to grind pvp gameplay. Also, mortar event is literally taken from spt mod (just a comment at ~56min)

The only people who didn't see this coming are the ones that have a lot of time or are good at the game. If you don't have one of them or even both pve/spt is the logical choice for most of those people. I remember when I bought eft 2 years ago when I was a true Timmy and had no clue, I wished for a pve mode like nothing else. To improve skill if nothing else as pvp still gives the biggest "rush" imo

I have been saying this since before the wipe, after having such a long wipe, and dropped marathon and are trying to connect arena to tarkov that this wipe would be short, and not focused on economy which is a good thing so players can experience the content while they gather necessary data to make tweaks. Better than it being nerfed too much in the other direction where regular players who don't play 8 hours a day can enjoy this wipe. I notice most comments of regular people seem to enjoy this wipe more than the last one. Also the state of the game in terms of optimization and just general gameplay is the most solid its been in awhile. I just hope unity 2.0 gives us better optimization and higher fps.

Most of the community was already aware this wipe would be a short wipe. BSG already said they will be wiping again at the end of the year so people just did the math.

I also think that super slow progression would be great with a year long wipe. And a way to ramp up for the people lagging behind. Like basic hideout item spawns being more frequent or that low levels get a leveling multiplier so they catch up, etc.

i feel like part of the neck hitbox problem is just that it really takes up a portion of the headshot hit box. so some shots that would be headshots possibly or a thorax shot end up being a neck shot which really doesn't happen in any other game so it sticks out as a bigger issue.

7:07 You progress way faster than the average player no matter what's going on so your progression is almost certainly the same as other wipes relative to the overall progression. What you don't like is that you don't have scores of Timmies to beat up on with the advantages that come from being way ahead of the curve. You're never part of the player base that's lagging behind. For once, people that struggle to hit Prapor 2 by this point in the wipe are able to catch up fairly well and have similar access to quality ammo and armor.

Flea Market balance could be a "recently marketed" tag so if you buy it off flea there is a cooldown to re-list the item. Just like steam does with items purchased off the community market to prevent too much manipulation. Either that or an "outage" of the flea market where you have to go in and see lightkeeper etc, to trade in raid.

this wipe my matchmaking times sometimes took up to 8mins in eu thats isnt an empty region and it wasnt a bugged matchmaking and not while everyone was at work either so I dont feel the reduced matchmaking times only if i play on eu central which has the worst amount of cheaters since i ticked that one off i barely see any compared to before

I dont see why they dont make the offline pve story based game open world, and keep the online mode an extract looter pvp shooter. that way the open world load is all on the pc offline, and the maps are all singular online

I don't understand why they don't just add a rested exp system. That way the sweats can get the same exp they always get and the casuals can get huge exp boosts for the small amount of time that they play. This wouldn't benefit the sweats but they don't need it. And it would let the casuals attempt to keep up (while clearly failing to do so).

how can you say pve wasnt goin to be a big deal... theres a whole community for single player tarkov.. duno if you heard about it..*cough* SPT .. lol we been begging for single player tarkov... the fact that nakita said he would BAN your EFT account if SPT was found on your hardware when booting up.. im no genius but i think a large portion of the player base wanted single player tarkov at least once in there lifetime while playing tarkov... Whether you wanted single player tarkov because you got tired of hackers/cheaters or whether you just wanted a more casual expierence because you dont have 12 hours to play or maybe streaming isnt your fulltime job you know not everyone is so lucky but obviosuly im generalizing im not being specific to any one person. and i say these things respectfully. i really did think it would be a big deal. but hey thats just my opinion were all entitled to have one you may not agree but thats ok.

Instead of removing the Flea Market, I think the unlock level should be increased. At lvl 15 you basically ignore your traders and just shop off the flea for all your gear. I have always though that the flea market should be moved closer to max trader level.

The Flea's the only thign that gives people a somewhat equalized playing feild since the only difference betwen someoen that had to start late in teh wipe and someone playing since day one is that the new guy has to pay a mark up,

@@patrickflying17 To delve deeper into my idea, the point would be to make the traders the main source of items instead of the flea like it currently is. If the flea market is locked to 40+ then all the trader levels before lvl 40 can have their inventories changed to bring stuff like ammo, armor, meds etc to those players. The main problem is traders are literally pointless past lvl 15 with the exception of some ammo unlocks from tasks. The traders need to be the main source of gear, I don't even remember the last time I even looked at Mechanic, Skier or Ragman since the shit they sell is cheaper on the flea market.

i dont have arena and i feel as if its being used as a supplementary of the game, my EoD friends who have it play arena like its a job- and say it pays them millions and free XP. this takes away from playing tarkov in lieu of another game (mode)

You can make this game harder and easier at the same time. If they would add plenty of gear spawn in game, not only in places like Kiba but places like this would be place to get best gear, it would be easier for low end players to collect good stuff. And to nerf mostly higher end players traders and flea need a nerf. I would like to see them selling very basic equipment not better than scav gear and this could progress with wipe so late wipe we could buy most of stuff. Trying to balance this with money only makes things worse because it makes game more grindy, people with plenty of time have tremendous advantage and encourages RMT. If they would balance this with availability from traders and flea you can make bunch of stuff relevant because 90% of game items is basically never used. Zero to Hero runs would be amazing with those changes.

A shame because I think the game would actually be better without the flea. Hardcore mode only really works if everyone is stuck playing by those rules but that would split the player base even more between PVP, hardcore PVP and PVE mode. Very unfortunate.

Unpopular opinion. I liked the armor true to the model. I understand why gamify it is disliked. There are ways, spill over ratios etc. Getting shot sucks. Penalized mistakes, with you on that. Hardcore made me love eft. Nothing else captures that

I think the biggest issue with the flea market aside from RMT is the fact that they have yet to figure out a way to make crafting viable due to how the demand of pricing for certain items are. The only thing I can think of as a fix, is each item has a maximum sell value on the flea, so that it doesn't undermine the crafting, but again, some people craft items to make $$ (right now the majority of items needed for a craft often cost more than the crafted item itself), other people use the crafts for their personal use which, for numerous wipes now, it's usually cheaper to just buy the item you need outright rather than buy the materials for the craft, unless the item can't be bought on flea. So perhaps removing all high tier craft items for sale on flea would be an option? Not really sure how you balance that.
