Restaurants are aware that there are professional eaters. If you run a restaurant that has this type of demographic then it only makes sense to calculate the amount of food it would take to only allow professionals with a sizeable audience to finish the challenge and then make that size of a dish. That way no one beats the challenge but people with audiences who fit your customer base. Pretty basic.

I sometimes think it's Beards hidden trick. Because most stuff he eats is quite salty and fatty. So when he takes a dessert, especially a sweet one, he stabilizes his stomach with that again, so it's then easier (and healthier) for his body to digest the stuff.

a true blue austrian messer that size is at least 500€ if made by a good knifesmith. got me a tiny 3,5in messer from myer's messers (best german knifesmith 2017 and 2018 that set me back 250€. my go to "wearing blade" for outdoor meals. i've got another bigger spanish one if i'm in the cooking pit. but the germanics don't screw around, they make fine steel.

I often go there with my friends. They have like twenty different burgers, a ton of different side dishes, homemade sauces and I don't know how many other things and everything there tastes incredible. Seriously, they have the best burgers I have ever eaten and it shows because the place is very popular. You've got to reserve a table a couple days ahead because the place is pretty much always full. The host is also awesome as well.

I lived in Austria for 32 years, 1991-2023. I hope you were able to visit other parts of Austria while there. Vienna is really nice but there are some awesome places in Carinthia, Tyrol and Styria among others. I lived in Kapfenberg, Vienna, Graz, Föhnsdorf and Spittal an der Drau while there. Beautiful country.

I feel like after the growing pains we've gotten to a point to where this still feels like a Beard video, but you also immediately notice the color grading and fancy shots lift it up a bit.
