If anyone is struggling with having the dialogue box pop up when setting up events - turn off/pause your ad blocker! This has been an issue for me for MONTHS and I just figured that out. Thank you so much for this video this is amazing!!

Omg thank you, you're correct! This was driving me nuts. I use MS Edge and had to go into the settings and had to change the tracking settings. The default setting blocked the "Set up a custom Conversion" for me.

when he said that you may have to clear the cache, i just understood at that time that 3rd party tools may also interfere with meta detecting the pixel, so i turned off many different security extensions to make it work as well.

This was great content man! Was struggling to integrate Calendly direct with Meta Pixel but I figured it out. For any other marketers, you can funnel your Meta leads directly to Calendly where they answer questions (pre-qualify) and schedule meetings. I found this more efficient than other methods (VSL, landing page, GHL).

Another thing that might be helpful is that it's likely that the browser you use affects the pixel extension installed. I did all the necessary steps to set up my pixel for the past week but couldn't get it and the event setup tool connected to my wordpress. The extension showed that the pixel was active on my facebook page but not on my website. This had been bugging me for weeks but I tried switching from Edge to Chrome and immediately, I was able to start tracking events!

Do you have a video for retail or eCommerce set up metal pixel? Also, do you have to set up the ad first than the pixel or the other way around? For who I'm setting up for, they have a web developer so I feel they're going charge us each time we need to install coding for each data set or event. There is now conversions API or Meta Pixel. Do you have a video explaining which we need to use?

This didn't work, at 2:50, instead of showing me the code, it told me i had popup blockers blocking things, which I did not. But I went into incognito mode of chrome, and the error went away but i can't find the code to copy

For custom website you would need custom datalayer to track the events. With the help of GTM you can track the events for pixel, google analytics and so on. can we get connected?

Plz help, I used and existing pixel and for some reason my event setup says pixel wasn’t detected when entering website and clicking on open website. But in Shopify when I go to Facebook and instagram settings, and scroll down to share data, my pixel is clearly there, the same one I’m looking at in events manager in meta. I also added the Txt record in domains in Shopify. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Locating the correct header file will be different for everyone. If you have a wordpress website you will need to go to your WordPress dashboard, click on appearance, and then "theme file editor". Locate your header file and paste the code before the closing head tag < / head> The main point is that you need to locate the tags in your files and paste the code there. Most websites pull the same header file to be the header for every page on your website therefore the header is the same for every page. But back in the day each individual webpage for a website had its own individual code so you would need to paste this on every page which would be a lot of work. Luckily most of us won't have to do that. Since most sites use PHP, CSS and SQL instead of strictly HTML

A major issue for me was that I had my ad blocker on. Took me far too long to figure out that this was the issue. Remember to turn your ad blocker off!
