For the coaching point, if some people were dubious about Bjerg (historically one of the best players in NA) becoming a coach, I don't think it's unreasonable to cast some doubt on much lesser players becoming coaches in practically the same way.

Honestly this take needs to be talked about more. The knowledge gap at lower elos is insane. I've played on accounts in gold where people don't know how to freeze let alone when to shove the lane, when to slow push, and when to recall. Super frustrating as a jungler to see people not aware of their waves or where they are in the lane. There needs to be a video when you reach lvl 30 that is mandatory and maybe a quiz or smth that you're forced to take to make sure that people understand this stuff.

Around 20:00 Obfuscated means it is made unclear. What LS means is that these calls aren't unclear enough to justify needing communication. Players ought to know this clear easy stuff already and just do it. Like in hockey they don't need to constantly be talking to play the team game well. They know how each other play from practice. Communication is only needed when someone is does something the other player doesn't understand.

MonteCristo already gave us the answer. None of this is Papasmithy or Ryoma's fault because of secret behind the scenes things. But trust him, taking Damonte out at 9-3 and putting in Ryoma was the best solution and Damonte would have done worse.

People forget that 100T got a lot of wins from just their synergy and allowing the other team to throw. They lost to GG of all teams. The floor of this team was really atrocious. The real issue is that your both options for mid lane is damonte and ryoma. The season is doomed.

I actually thing Dgon has a good point about Tactical and Tristana, for the exact same reason dom says it isn't different. I think that because the champion is easy and has the possibility of resets and a long jump, that Tactical might be too comfortable going in when he really just shouldn't, however there isn't any excuse for the times he's been caught too far up in lane with no support.

What LS talks about at roughly 29:00 relates to something I learned in college about motivation. You divide motivation into 2 categories, intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic is motivation that comes internally such as fun or whatever else is a motivating factor on a personal level and extrinsic is motivation that comes from external sources, in this case using money. What's really notable is how the two interact with each other on a psychological level when an extrinsic value is assigned to something that previously had an intrinsic value, the extrinsic value can replace it entirely. As a result you end up with money being the only factor motivating people and can causes severe burnout as extrinsic motivators are not good in providing long term motivation.

But fundamentally, you cannot be disappointed when you predict a sweep and the team outplays that prediction. That’s the exact opposite of disappointment. It makes no sense for them to preach how poor TSM played after talking about how they were outclassed by TL and C9 anyway.

This is before League Franchising and a massive induction of money into LEC and LCS. Also NALCS was considered worse than the other regions such as EU/LCK but there has since passed another 5yrs+ without success beyond whenever pr0lly left with Complexity dissolving into his time coaching H2K. OCE was still worse or nonexistant than NALCS during this period. So No it is still worse than pr0lly scenario.

We need dom and the boys to talk about why poppy smithy hasn’t been investigated by DOM on nepotism. He is clearly favoring ryoma for some odd reason. Both Australian and OPL. Demonte is clearly the better mechanical player and ryoma seems to be destroyed on the champions they think he is better at than demonte.
