In this episode we are joined by Zerm, co-leader of Resurgence, the top guild on the Yelinak TLP server. He talks to us about his time on live, EQ2 and finally the history of the Yelinak server.

"If you want people to show up on time, then start on time." Zerm is one of the few raid leaders that gets it. Waiting to start a raid so the slackers can arrive just creates animosity with the people that got there on time.

Yelinak launch was insane... Warquest announced they were going to be the first guild to kill Lady Vox at 7pm on a Sunday... and Zerm organized our members to get together at 8am in which we conquered L.Vox ,Naggy while everyone was underleveled , undergeared and super tired. We destroyed the morale from our competitors with those kills.. and that's when competitive Resurgence emerged...the rest is history! Miss you all ! thank you Zerm+Raist and all the members for the awesome fun!

Zerm and Raistin are exemplary leaders. Cool and collected. Calculated and effective. I'd absolutely TLP again with them in the lead.

Loved raiding with Resurgence on yelinak. Such a fun guild.

We killed Cyno to open Inktuta. Did not kill zoo Omens we lost 2/5 of our keyed clerics and 1/4 of our keyed tanks to power and internet issues. So it was pretty crippling until they got back at noon the next day. One shot Vish on the push…did not wipe. What broke old WR was the AHR standoff when they decided to go after the emp pop and then AHR spawned 5 minutes after they left. We got that AHR and every other AHR outside of 2-3 that the aussies got at 2am.

Black left Yelinak because he kept getting his account suspended. Training and shenanigans were happening on both sides but Black liked to talk about it too much in open channels. When Black and several of his friends left Yelinak, Without Regret still raided the next day on schedule, and did not miss a single clear.

Raided with them from classic to Velious but had to stop playing EQ back then cause I didn't have enough free time. Resurgence and Faceless are the 2 top guilds I ever had the chance to join in my EQ "career". Leadership was top notch

VT was the best late night comedy gold I have ever had in EQ. I have had so much fun in Resurgence from day 1. Enjoying TSS now!

I raided with you guys with Resurgence through Velious, those races with WR were so fun and the adrenaline rush was crazy. That call to charge Trak was clutch. I remember ppl passing out clicky wands to all us necros and other casters! 😊

Zoom… I mean Zerm and Raistin are some of the best leaders I’ve been able to play with, in fact all of the officer core are great. We have an amazing group of members and raiders that can clear content very efficiently.

Wow! I can't believe he was in Endorean! I joined Endorean during Velious, and we overtook the top guild LoS during the end of SoL and were solidly the top during PoP. Lots of those old Apex players were my good friends there.

I was also in Endorean on Luclin server. :) We had a great rivalry with Legacy of Sorrow.

Some of these TLP comments are so mind boggling as a p99 player. Like what the hell are they talking about spending krono on sleeper's keys? "There's a max cap of the amount of sleeper's keys that you can get per week, you can't just.. buy your way into the zone." And "what is the deal with this vulak meta, that makes no sense"

Vulak is spawned when the last lord or lady in NToV dies while he is “in window”. So I you have Lady Nev up and go to fight her I can sit my raid at Vulaks spawn point. When she dies he spawns instantly so then your odds of getting him are super low because my raid is already here and you’re likely low on mana having just done Lady Nev, or any other dragon. It’s really weird how uninformed P99 players are when it comes to retail EverQuest.

@FacelessZaide I meant more that the vulak meta is completely different on each server type, not that I didn't know how it works. The vulak stand-off is an issue everywhere if you don't have a system in place to handle the rules of what happens when the blockers go down. I think the players are all just split because many of us won't play tlp's due to the UI changes or cash shop or instancing. Of course, the company had structured itself to need the cash shop to run the game, so it's a catch 22.
