MJ is the GOAT with Larry Legend right behind him. Think about that 63 point game against the Celtics. They had literally FIVE Hall of Famers on the court and they couldn't handle Mike. Crazy. As a huge fan of MJ I gotta say this was one of the most enjoyable videos I've ever seen done about him! I grew up watching him play, and those memories will forever be cherished. As far as the debate on the GOAT is concerned, it's become laughable and absurd. People will always be biased in their opinions about this. We will always favor the music, films, athletes, etc.... from the 'coming of age' period of our lives, at least most of us will anyway. I speak to people in the younger generations and a lot of them rank LeBron or Kobe over Jordan and it makes me think how one-sided that is, seeing how they weren't even alive to see Jordan play. I watched hundreds of games, playoffs, finals from the mid-80's till now and what I can say is the game has changed tremendously. Sadly, it will probably never be what it was during the Jordan era, ever again. I'm just glad I was there for it all. There are talented players today, but one point I want to stress, MJ NEVER compared himself to players past, because he had too much class and didn't really need to anyway.

I'm a 50yo white boy and my Gramma enjoyed coming to my hockey and other games but otherwise was a Gramma not a sports fan. BUT MJ changed that. She retired to Florida and after Mike MADE HER a big fan of the game, she enjoyed rooting for Shaq and Hardaway, but it all started because of Jordan. He changed the sport forever and IMO along with MANY MANY others isn't just the greatest ball player ever but the greatest athlete ever, period. I don't FEEL 50, and in part because of that, this old man honestly, ignorantly probably believes that even at 58 the man could STILL make an impact on a NBA game given the chance to play. He's simply amazing and to end it the way i started, this ole white boy, HOCKEY player, is PSYKED and blessed to have been around to witness the greatest career and craziness that went with it that is MICHEAL JORDAN.

I’m a lifelong Hawks fan. Dominique is my absolute favorite player. Obviously Jordan gave my Hawks the business everytime back in the day. I respect Jordan. What he was able to do on the court will never be duplicated. His ability to just take over games is what his statistics, as impressive as they are, don’t really show how dominate he was. When a steal is needed, he got it. A block, he got it. That offensive board, there he was when there is 30 seconds left on the clock then it’s time to bring out the daggers. Just incredible.

Lebron James! What a cry-baby A$$ b*tch. Only reason he's attacking Jordan is cause he lost, Jordan never lost, and he's trying to make excuses why he lost and Jordan didn't. Of course jordan had teammates, so did lebron. just cause jordan didn't touch the ball on the last 2 plays of a game doesn't mean he didn't help get them there. Lebron needs to go suck his daddys titty and get over it. He doesn't compare to Jordan, not even close.

There are iconic athletes that come around once in history. Not only absolutely great in their sport but also take the entire sport to another level. Baseball had Babe Ruth, Hockey had Gretzky, Boxing had Ali and basketball was Michael Jordan. Every kid out there now and in the future, playing basketball, no matter how much you practice, have natural skill and a winning mind set, the best you will ever be is 2nd. This man is the GOAT and there is no comparison with anyone and his peers are who say that. When your good you will tell everybody. When your great everybody will tell you.

If you were God and you had to choose one player to start and be the captain of your all time greatest basketball team, who would it be, if I was a betting man and the Devil is, who would I put all my money on for the Win? Take the shot? Steal the ball? Make a free throw to seal the deal? The answer to all of the above is MJ. There is literally only one player that could single handily beat all 5 players by themselves, Detroit had to tackle him, mug him and thug him. MJ playing today would never get touched and could have scored 50 a game, he played defense without fouling, so he could steal and be dunking all game, the guy was a beast on both sides of the court. He played the game the way we wish we all could. There are many great basketball players before him and after, I watched many of them since I was old enough to know what a basketball was as age 3, and I am qualified to speak on this subject. I will never say he is the greatest of all time, because all time has not stopped, but I will say this, emulate him, pretend to be him, get compared to him and you lose every argument. Bill Russell was not even the greatest center, he was just fortunate enough to be on a team in a league with very few that could challenge him, team wise, the Celtics were the superteam back them and only had maybe 4 teams that could compete with them. The league was young. Now they say it is watered down with too many teams and that is why MJ could win the way he did when he did, but the game has evolved, equipment is better, training is better, traveling is easier, for all teams and the draft process allows for bad teams to get better opportunities to get better quicker, MJ would have excelled in any league, at any time, regardless, but it is much harder to win a championship against 30 teams and MJ won 6 with basically 2 different teams. No, he did not do it alone, but make no mistake about it, he made players around him better because he gave them opportunities to score whenever other teams doubled and tripled him, the entire career MJ never seemed to ever take time off, he was always involved in the play, defensively, offensively, always the focus of attention every play, you just can not say that about any other player. So in my lifetime thus far, this is how a rate the top 10 players of the NBA Mount Rushmore, 10- Jerry West, 9- Pete Maravich, 8- Dr.J, 7- Larry Bird, 6- Magic, 5- Bill Russell, 4- Kobe, 3- Shaq, 2- Kareem, and #1 MICHAEL "AIR" JORDAN. This is the list and they had to be retired to make it, before it is over maybe LBJ and Steph and KD make it here.

Michael Jordan is not it! The greatest player that ever picked up a basketball never went to the NBA. That was Earl Manigualt. Michael Jordan could never match him. Kareem Abdul Jabbar new him and said that Earl Manigualt was the only one that ever worried him on the court. Earl made some bad decisions that resulted in him not going to the NBA, but he did keep the Rucker tournaments going after Holcombe Rucker passed away. There is a movie about Earl called "rebound" starring Don Cheadle. If you watch it you'll understand why Michael Jordan isn't all that he is said to be.

I watched michael jordan since I was 6 iam 37 now so when he beat the Lakers for his first title they were underdogs but since that moment he dominated that league for so long it's not even funny no one is honestly in his league after the dunk contest wins , all defensive first teams,all the mvps ,all the finals MVP's man (dream team gold*) .all the championships with phil and scottie he basically had a perfect career before the wizards because he got a itch he couldn't help but scratch and blew his MCL because a white guy on his team bumbed knees and the NBA gods said no more.He was the most spectacular athlete I ever seen and honestly played during the prime of teams and talent NBA ever could offer besides Wilt Chamberlain no one ever scored 3,000 points in a season. Michael jordan had a style no one ever had .Because of jordan shoes people will always remember him but all always remember the guy who put the NBA on his back told Magic Johnson go sit you ass down . I got this. His a 1 out of a 10 billion athlete he could fly (he dunked on everyone * he scared guys in the NBA and even college. Very special athlete. And a great personality and good dad that's important to.

Jordan is the GOAT, look at the first ballet Hall of famers that didn’t get a championship during his time. He was must see tv in the regular season. The money he generated in his career. He retired almost 20 years ago and we’re still talking about him. Look how many game winning shots he took and how many he made. I was watching his regular game, I haven’t watched a regular season game since he retired. As a spurs fan I watched the Spurs during there championship run. My Moma told me he is a great play. He had 2 year olds to 72 two years old watching him. Michael Jordan 23 is the Greatest of all time. The heart separates him from ALL the rest. You can’t measure that!!!

The difference from Jordan to the other players is already very big that he has the unconditional will and the tireless determination to put the ball in the basket. When you watch him play, you can see it no matter how difficult the situation is. He has more than 3 players stuck on his heels and still scores. Erh bubbles up in the air as well as the Defense SPieler, but he manipulates gravity to stay in the air a bit longer so he can go over them and score points. His skills in the field are already very unique, he can do everything and in exellent form. His hands are so big that the ball looks like a ping pong. He is in his category a real legend among the legends. Man must have seen him to believe what he shows on the field.

I have to laugh(extremely hard, no joke!) when I see anyone saying or thinking, that anyone can top, match, or even come close to being the player that MJ was/is, even currently at his age. I am not a N.B.A. fan anymore and rarely watch now, but I followed MJ since his draft after he popped up on my radar as a kid in N.C. There was NO DOUBT at all hands down MJ was the best on the court even 3vs1, the dude is the most magical player I've ever seen. ALL of his skills were elite, in a time when being a contact sport(basketball) was really a contact sport, and was rarely if ever was injured and always competed to win. This does not even go into how all the rest of the bulls when he was drafted were busy having coke and hooker parties every night, while he was like nah man, I'm here to be elite, I'll go practice and get better while y'all are partying..........Clowns these days............

When you've been around for a while, like my old a$$, you've seen all the greats perform. I was born and raised in Boston in the early 80s. I've seen LITERAL LEGENDS play live, at both Boston Gardens. There has never been, nor will there ever be, another MJ. Remember kids, he hadn't even won ONE championship before the greatest players and minds in basketball deemed him the GOAT. LeBron is on the mount Rushmore, if only for his longevity and consistency, but he is nowhere near the player MJ was. Every single time MJ took the court, even at his elder condition on the Wizards, he was the best player on the court, on both sides of the basketball. I was lucky to see him play live in 93, 96 and 97.

You have NO clue, about the game; Jordan was in no way "complete"; w/o Pippin and Rodman, could not had had the victories. Bird needed nothing more than a warm body, and a breath remaining to feed his impossible, perfectly timed and placed pass assists to convert.
@jca4343
@jca4343 5 жыл бұрын
MrJojo..you and your warm body stuff again from the guy who played with what...5 hall of famers. Jordan was one of the greatest scorers and defensive players. He lead the league in scoring i think 10 times and was all defensive first team 8 or 9. He has a defensive player of the year. He lead the league in steal 3 times. Look up videos of old games. He was a great passer, but his job in the offense the Bulls ran was to score. He got the ball and usually made a quick move to the basket. He didn't stand around and dribble and hold it like guys do today. And why would he be a great 3 point shooter. It wasn't nearly as big of a deal back then. He could score with out shooting the 3. Over his career he only shot roughly 1-2 per game. From 2 point range he shot 51% for his career. He scored another 9 points a game from the line from getting fouled when he drove to the basket. Shot 83% from the line. That makes up for the lack of 3 point shooting.
