Lamont when my anxiety and depression are weighing hard on me I turn on your videos to auto play. You have one of the most calming voices I've heard on KZbin. Have you thought about recording audiobooks too? Thank you for the chance for me to find a little self care in this day and age 💜
@karencarbone26034 жыл бұрын
I have to say as well. Out of all KZbin videos on cemeteries or the deceased, your are the best and caring and respectful narrator there is.

Lamont, the very thing that motivates me to watch your channel is your reflection on lives lived. I too often wonder what the deceased's life was like. An obituary never does justice to a life lived and a headstone really only seems to serve to remind us that they did once live and made a mark in this physical world. As always "thank you" Lamont.

My daughter was born in March of 1992 and her name is also Alexis... when I see young women and men born the same years as my children who have already passed away it just breaks my heart. I look at my daughter and know how blessed I am to still have her in my life... so such a wonderful young woman with a great personality and sense of humor the thought of losing her so young just terrifies me. I pray every day that I go first because she's already lost her father and she also has an advanced form of M.S that she struggles with every day of her life.

Les Paul is a legend in the Recording business because he is the Father of Multitrack Recording. Before him we would record everything with one microphone all at once and if one instrument was off you would have to do it all over again. With multitrack recording you can have one track dedicated to one instrument and adjust it however you like without affecting the other recorded instruments. Audio Engineers love this guy.

Lamont, Thanks for another wonderful video...funny how I often wonder the exact same thing. How many kids, what was their family like, did they like what they did for a living? Many other questions. You can't talk to them, however many times you talk for them...telling how they lived and how they died. Sometimes good, sometimes very tragic. Take care and stay safe! 💐

Another awesome video, Lamont! I did notice that Evelyn (Stutz) Polsfuss was 20 something years older than Les Paul, so I did a little googling. She was actually his Mother. He was married twice-first to Virginia Webb (2 kids) and then to Mary Ford (3 kids-one dying @ 4 days old, another was adopted and a 1 biological). Both marriages ended in divorce. He was not married at the time of his death. Source: Wiki Safe Travels, my friend! :) P.S. The plant covering up the grave is a type of the "Hosta" plant family. They go dormant in the winter, so you would be able to see the gravestone then. ;)

This is my hometown cemetery and most of my family is there! I couldn't tell what sections you were in but Dominic and Sharon Boone are my parents. They're buried in the newer section. My moms dad and stepmom Kenneth and Maria Erke are buried in section 9 across from them and her mom (grandma and grandpa were divorced) Katherine Erke is across from them in section 7. My dads parents Oscar and Anna and his grandparents William John and Angeline Hunkins and their infant son Albert are all buried in section k. My moms aunt Helen and uncle hank are "buried" just behind them in those walls. To make things confusing hank is grandpa Ken's brother and Helen is grandma Kate's sister. Actually helen was married to the man grandma is buried next to but he died of an illness young not very long after they were married. Helen and Hank eventually married and Helen gave her spot next to her first husband to my grandma after her and grandpa divorced. Sorry for the long post but atleast you got some history out of it!

If you ever get back to Southeast Wisconsin, check out Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. It is a very beautiful place. They have their own chapel with mausoleums inside. Then they have wonderful grounds that you can walk around and get lost in. My Aunt Mildene and my Grandpa are buried there. For a sad place, it's so pretty.
