Great tips and video! A good 60% of facet rough I've purchased came from online or Ebay and I look for these same clues when evaluating! When you're stuck with only photos I always stick with my gut and the white paper test. If they're using a flashlight or have only backlit photos going through the stone, then it's most likely too dark for cutting and would fail the white paper test. Also be aware for oversaturated photos/videos when evaluating rough online. A good majority of smartphones autocorrect saturation levels, so taking a screenshot and manually adjusting the warm and cool tones of a photo can give you a more realistic idea of the actual color.

I’d love a video of you discussing the different axis and how to identify them. I always struggle with where to put the table on a piece of rough.

Very helpful. I like the highlighting. Would recommend a nicer microphone for a more professional sound.
