If he did, there would have at least been water in the hydrants for the firefighters down south, let alone better land mamagement esp considering the increased risk of wildfires in our area (like Trump advised him in 2016), the chapparal in those areas could have been cleared, and better budgeting for fire depts and fire engines. Oakland is closing down fire depts due to budget cuts bc of the failed politics here and Newsom has literally done nothing since 2016. Has not spent one dime on fire preparations. It took the recent apocalyptic inferno down south for him to do anything for us.

I see a lot of fire prevention in my area going on. There are mowers out everywhere mowing down brush. Prescribed fires. Billions have been budgeted for fire prevention. Newsom has visited up here after Tubbs and Glass fires. There are rolling blackouts. When winds come roaring in at 100 mph in January that is unheard of. And I used to live in Los Angeles. As a former volunteer fire fighter I can tell you that once a house fire gains unlimited access to air it is virtually impossible to put out. That's why fire depts everywhere are set up to get to a fire within minutes of getting a call. A wildfire burning thousands of homes at once is not stoppable. Also, Trump is lying outright about CA water conservation causing hydrants to go dry. A pure LIE. Trump knows nothing - nothing about fire fighting. And his lies makes his opinions totally worthless garbage.

A lot of firemen and Police are ex military. We had a great group of firemen living a few blocks away from us. They helped us with things you wouldn't expect a fireman to do, like pipes bursting and flooding the main floors, and they turned off the main water from the street, and mopped up our house, while we waited for the plumber to come and fix everything. I have a long list. God Bless them all.
