I love how when Muffin says, “We’ve got lots of couches!”, Bluey and Bingo both get this look on their faces like, “Yes, Muffin, we know your house is bigger than ours. You’ve mentioned it numerous times.”

I love episodes where the parents normalize kids using gadgets for fun stuff but also remind them about the rules that they're able to understand. Also I love how the dads respond to the kids refusing to close faceytime! XD

Also it took me a while ago but yeah - hogging is seen in two ways: Muffin and Trixie. Muffin wants to hog the faceytime to finish her cowboy hat bc she can't find a way to communicate properly for time while Trixie wants to hog all of the parenting because she can't find ways to properly communicate that some of Stripe's methods are not right to her. It makes it harder for parents to trust each other or give time when they wanted to do it on their own, and it will create distance if they continue it so. That's why Trixie and Stripe's mute talk is important because Stripe is letting Trixie know that they got this together like a team.

This episode is hilarious!😆 And yes, it's actually confirmed that Muffin & Socks are two halves of both parents. While Bluey & Bingo look & act like Bandit & Chili respectively; Muffin looks like Trixie but has Stripe's personality, while Socks looks like Stripe but has Trixie's personality. And you'll definitely find that out more much later.😆

i'd say this is one of the most real episodes in the show, Stripes and Trixie's argument sounds so real as well as Bandit's discomfort towards it. also i love how since Bluey is the oldest one of the 4 girls she is the most responsible during the call by questioning Muffin when she doesn't want to lend the tablet to Socks, trying to reason with her and telling Bingo they should not be helping her escape

Also Bluey is hogging her time, but she promises Bingo to give her a turn after she's done and she did. Plus - most of the time is occupied bc of the Muffin Chase and so on, distracting the girls (Except Socks) from finishing the final touches.

Just like ‘Charades’ and ‘Library’, this is another episode that doesn’t do Muffin many favors as she acts her brattiest yet, realistic as it may be, hogging the Faceytalk screen, refusing to listen to her dad, and even stealing his phone so she can keep playing. It probably doesn’t help that it seems like Stripe and Trixie have different parenting methods that they aren’t communicating with each other on. Still, as I’ve said, Muffin’s not a bad kid, just more prone to tantrums and excitability than her sister or cousins. Note that when she accidentally threw her dad’s phone into the pool, she sincerely apologized, and when ordered into timeout, she obeyed without fuss, knowing she was in big trouble. Some more positive notes about this episode: Socks getting to enjoy her Faceytalk time uninterrupted, Stripe and Trixie reconciling after their talk (with Bandit tactfully muting the call during it), and Bluey knowing it’s wrong to encourage Muffin stealing her dad’s phone, even calling out Bingo and Bandit for cheering her on. Also, the chase being set to the Toreador March from Carmen made it more delightfully chaotic.

Muffin used to bother me in this episode, and to a degree she still does, but it’s since been pointed out to me that her intended end was simply to finish drawing her cowboy hat. Nothing wrong with that in and of itself, but Muffin wasn’t given a legitimate opportunity to finish it, so she resorted to illegitimate means until the phone fell in the pool. In fairness, once that happened, Muffin didn’t simply try to hog the Faceytalk away from Socks-even though she hadn’t meant to throw Stripe’s phone out the window, she seemed at that point (though no earlier) to accept that she was in trouble. So she apologized and accepted her time out-and that she couldn’t finish her cowboy hat now. Anyway, Muffin’s at a young enough age where it’s on Stripe and Trixie to rein in her worst impulses. And even there, they aren’t perfect and they’ll make mistakes, but they are trying and they do love their children-it’s wrong to judge them harshly. It’s difficult when two young kids’ wills conflict and neither one is obviously in the wrong. You want your kids to share, but lately I’m coming to the conclusion that young kids need to be clear on the difference between “mine” and “yours” first-especially to know that “Just because your little sister is playing with your toy, that doesn’t mean it’s now her toy and not yours. It’s okay to let her play with it, but it’s still yours, and she still has to give it back to you when she’s finished.”

One reason I get Muffin in this episode is the difference between how Bluey was treated by her parents vs. her. Bluey WAS doing the exact same thing at the exact same pace, she was "hogging." She wanted to finish her drawing and was given the space to. Muffin wanted to finish HER drawing but wasn't given the space because of her parents' micromanaging. That was her one goal, "I want to finish my cowboy hat," but Stripe just imposed a timeout without listening, and so she rebelled cos she wasn't being HEARD. Honestly didn't get it at first watch until i thought about it again. Kind of shows the importance of actually listening to the kids and giving them a reasonable amount of space to carry out their goal. At Muffins age, there aren't many "serious" goals thus finishing the cowboy hat is of the utmost importance.

The thing is that Muffin had someone that wanted to play with the drawing thing right then and Muffin didn’t even ask if she could have some more time. She demanded more time. Bluey ASKED if she could finish her drawing, and Bingo said it was okay. That’s a big difference.

Right? It just shows contrast between the idealized Bandit and Chilli, and the more realistic and flawed Stripe and Trixie. Not saying Stripe and Trixie are bad parents, they're learning just as much as Muffin is.

This episode has a slight censor on Disney when muffin runs through the bathroom it glitches so you can’t see Trixie on the toilet, it’s a strange censor and I don’t understand why it was censored considering that we have seen other characters on the toilet before
