I Watched your stream. DQ can go deep and not care, he rolls in with his own custom chair and for fun side action bets on Red/Black flops Lol. His goal was to take over the all time VPIP live stream %. That game brings big action and everyone gets involved. Even with premiums to start it’s very difficult to navigate through a table like that. Lex you did well and I think earned a lot of respect. Welcome back

Scarfzilla with the cold-blooded quadruple-barrel bluff. Even with his range a tad skewed toward a bluff because of the button money, that looked tough to deal with.

I feel that second jack on the river doesn’t change anything in the 56dd hand. If you thought he was bluffing on the turn and call an almost pot size bet I feel like you’re almost obligated to call on the river on that card. But I’m still learning this game so I’m not 100% sure

You're on the money here. Unless you picked up new info on river he shouldve gone with the read that brought him to the river..
@DejaquezernDenaster
@DejaquezernDenaster 3 жыл бұрын
I disagree. I know a lot of new players follow this line of thinking, but the total amount of information we had when the opponent made the turn bet vs the total amount of info we have once they make the river bet, are not equal. This means that given more "information" i.e what Villain chose to do on the river, we can now in theory make their range a bit more narrow, since hands like TT which MAY have continued on the turn to deny equity from hands like Lex's are now likely checking back. This mean Villain is really only repping QQ+ at this point, whereas on the turn they could be slightly thinner for value. Hope that makes sense!
@DejaquezernDenaster
@DejaquezernDenaster 3 жыл бұрын
side note: i think the J is basically a blank on both the turn and the river given the action on the flop. I cant think of any hands it improves besides JJ. Doubt Lex is float w AJ high but i suppose DQ could be

@californiaplant-basedeater2761 3 жыл бұрын
@@DejaquezernDenaster I think 77, 88, 99, and 1010 are still in the range, as Lex-O was kind of hemming and hawing the whole way through. Still, I wasn't sure Scarfzilla was even picking up on that. Well played.

I really like a raise on the flop with the 6-5 hand given the dynamics of the SB gunning for the extra $200 or so dollars. You block some of the other straights with your hand, you don’t like any over card coming on the board so it’s good to deny two overs equity and prevent getting put in a weird spot(which is what happened), you know SB here can be wide given the extra incentive on their end. Worse case scenario you still have outs to a straight.
@ralphpolancodp
@ralphpolancodp 3 жыл бұрын
On the 6,5 hand I really wished you would’ve raised on the flop. A bet of 1700-2k would’ve taken that down in position, too many scare cards you don’t wanna see when you flat, you could represent top set or flopping the straight. instead you allowed your opponent to take control, flatting there shows weakness.

Great video Lex. It’s definitely tougher being put to the test with amounts of $ you’re still getting comfortable with. We’ve all been there. In the 6-5d’s hand I would’ve liked a raise on the flop…the check gave your hand away to Scarf that you’re on a draw or two. The tilt is real, that was a tough one!! I was rooting so hard for a call but I get it. Ps. Heavy gum chewing by Scar is a typical sign of nervousness. Notice how the chewing gets more excessive as the hand continues…. General Comment: When playing with such a loose table I feel there are only two ways to play 1) Do your best to take down a pot at the earliest possible moment or 2) loosen up a smig on your tight image since other players will try to take advantage and bluff you wherever/whenever possible.

I prefer the 4B on the KK not because it was a BAD OUTCOME because Lex is out of position. But flatting against this player type can be very profitable on different boards so either way is okay. Love your channel. I haven't played poker in almost 5 years, and never played this big, but on that 56d hand vs Scarf, what do you think of this play? On the flop, I'd raise to $1500-2000 to: 1) force speculative (e.g. gut shot) or Ax hands to fold 2) scare overpairs or at least get them to slow down and buy me a free turn 3) induce a confident overpair or better to re-raise me, to which I'll likely fold I don't like to call-call-call and have no idea where I'm at in the hand. Thoughts, anyone? I personally played this way, especially against strong or aggressive players, and I'll do it with the 56d or a set/straight too.

It's not such a bad fold there with the pair of 6s against A10cc. Just watching his demeanor during the hand I thought he had it. He looked very calm. Prop bets like the small blind ante that only the small can win really do make for some interesting leveling spots in games like this. Sometimes you just have to give people credit for making a good play and move on. One thing to add about this hand - I think the result here is one of the reasons why I would advocate a raise on the flop. Take control of the hand in a spot where you frequently have the best hand and when you don't, you are rarely less than 50% to win. By fast-playing, you give yourself more opportunities to realize your equity.

your all in first hand after you shove it all in, notice after the chips are in you come back and grab your cards and pull them closer to you (sign of strength). If Jwin noticed that you may have cost yourself the pot in one of those nuts or nothing type of situations where now he can fold AQ if he has u not bluffing. anyways gl enjoying watching your videos just something that might help out ur game.

Not sure if Scarfzilla identifies as a man. Also when blacking out opponents hands from a live stream, you might want to Blackout their outs in the top right also. It kinda gives their hand away. Love Your Channel, and keep climbing the ladder Lex!

Yeah the 5d6d against Scarfzilla Ac10c was played completely wrong. You should’ve reraise him on the flop to check where you’re at. You had the other caller that you knew any turn card that’s a face card is a killer against two players. Or at least you should’ve raised him on the turn J because you raised preflop $75 in position. Also if you got better at poker tells you would’ve noticed his River bet chewing his gum when you pointed at the small blind dealer button pot he stopped chewing his gum which is a sign of weakness. Now he continued to chew after you kept thinking because he knew he had put you into a tough decision.

That 3 barrel with ATs blows my mind. Why choose that hand to bluff? I don’t know if I’d ever fold a pair to him again after seeing that.

That being said your fold was solid. There were no bluffs on that board that you didn’t block

Watched halfway and thought to myself.......Good call/game overall but Lex my man,....you can't always assume they have better hands, even after the flop...gotta read your opponent, just a thought...

I think you played the 65dd hand fine. It's prolly the worst hand you can have on the river except for maybe 55 or 54s? You could once in a while put in the raise on the flop but other than that I think you're fine. You got plenty of 88-TT and some slow played sets to call with. You could even have a hand like AJs sometimes.

I think that this video is a good example for only playing at stakes that you're comfortable with. When you were going through the 56 hand, I was sincerely hoping you would call, and confident that you would be good in doing so. And it seemed like you knew this as well, and the only reason you folded was because of the amount of money involved compared to what you're used to playing for. Nice fold with the AQ too; that one is hard to make, despite it being clear enough that you're no good there.
