Savage bluff. Seems like a check on the river makes the most sense. Easy to say looking at it after the fact. Boils down to do you think he will call a 2/3 bet on the river with AQ or Q10? I sure wouldn't with flush/full house out there. Probably doesn't have QQ's or 10's with no re-raise pre, and no raise on flop which is fairly connected. Only hands that makes sense to call your bet would be a random 6, which shouldn't be too often considering pre-flop action, and a 6 may fold anyway. Maybe 98 of hearts is a call too. Great content as always!

sick bluff from him. If you think back about the hand don't you think he would raise a set on that wet of a flop against the 30% seizing?
@jasonreed52442 жыл бұрын
Tough fold, unless you truly thought he was slow playing a set, with hearts getting there, or he had something like Ace 9 suited hearts (because you truly weren’t impressed with his play) then it’s more than likely a call. Furthermore, why bet 3/4 pot and not be ready for the potential all in? Was it always your thought to bet fold there?

Yeah, I agree 100%. If he has it, so be it. Can't really get too much in the habit of folding king high flushes cos you think there might be monsters under the bed, lol. I mean, maybe, just every once in a blue moon, and if it's warranted, then sure but otherwise I'm calling off his ass and if he has it like you pointed on then good day to you, sir, gg all that shit.
@atanasdzhivdzhanov42522 жыл бұрын
I think on this board it's not a fold. Realistically all the AhXh combos are gone because KQJT and even 5h we can see them. So he is left only with TT and QQ. He can still bluf with AhX because there are plenty of those combos. Ah and any K would make 100% sense to bluf here.
@followmetoglory2 жыл бұрын
Those kind of folds is the difference between a good player and a great player. The pot wasn't big enough to call off 7k and lose. But i agree with you in regards I'm not good enough to fold to that

Re: KQ hand, I have found at times that it's the "mediocre players" who are more willing to gamble/risk than the pros, especially in that situation........I actually thought you were going to find a call. But I think he sensed a slight weakness on your part with the $550 bet on the turn. A sort of "protection bet" by you. The river pairing the board opened the door for him.....he knew you didn't have a boat. Now that I play back this hand as I type, kudos to him. lol

That was a good fold on the last hand. Sometimes, you have to value own yourself. Other times, you have to fold the best hand. If your opponent makes a good play, you just have to give them credit.
@jasonreed52442 жыл бұрын
Come on. Be realistic. You really thought he was slow playing a better hand? Some one you aren’t impressed with their play? Then he does that and you fold.. Rule out pocket 5s and 6s. You have pocket queens and 10s left. So realistic you have the third best hand at worst. This is not a fold ..
@VOID_FLIX2 жыл бұрын
It’s a fold for sure. You are rarely going to call and win in this spot. It sucks when this happens, but it’s rare. If you bet with the intention of folding when jammed on, you need to fold when jammed on.

A small blind raising that big, out of position has got to send up huge red flags because that's usually a position that someone wants to protect a big pair when three betting pre-flop. You could actually make a case for folding Ace King preflop. It's also pretty obvious that when he raised $360 out of the straddle and called you on the turn he probably had some kind of Ace X of diamonds or like you said some kind of meddling pocket pair nines or tens

Interesting episode... - I think the hand selections were all good hands, especially J10 where you flop open ended, turn was just lower than you needed but luckily bink the 8.. they won. - showing us how easy it is to fold J4 off lol - maybe over thinking the last 1 because you didn't know the player and if he would make moves like that.. if he seemed like a rookie why didn't that move seem like an overplay at the time? Against more capable opponents that was a good fold. Not trying to have a go.. I love how you play and share it with us.

I mean that’s a very good hand for him to just call, he blocks only KJ and AK for hands you’re bluffing with but he doesn’t block any hands for value except KQ and QQ IMO it’s a good move but in the long run I feel like it’s a bad bluff, you’re never folding a boat and tanked for a short while with a flush, obviously a gangster bluff this time but I feel like KQ has far too much value to use as a bluff, but maybe I just suck who knows.
