I hate it when people call people out for not straddling. It is an optional straddle if you want the game to be 5/10/25 call the floor and make it that game. Berating people for not straddling just bad taste and its what is wrong at poker tables.

He wasn’t flatting AK out of fear. Why would you 3 bet iso one of the strongest players at the table with multiple fish behind you. You’re just pushing out the fish and battling heads up with the strongest player at the table. He flatted to incentivize the players who’ll be making 300+ bb mistakes postflop to come along. Plus when you’re super deep solvers actually mix flatting and 3 betting w/ AKo anyways

You are absolutely right about the WSOP and cash games. Everyone likes to say the games are juicy during WSOP, but my experience has been so far from that. The games are notably tougher and nittier during the series. Especially the center strip casinos like Aria, Bellagio, etc.

Which is ironic if you know florida's weather with the humidity and the bugs in the middle of summer. Florida's weather is _exactly_ why there are things called snowbird (not the urban dictionary snowbird) & chasing the sun Florida is where you DO NOT want to be in the summer. Poker and slight edges tho 🤷♂ At least he is playing at a level where 4 figure win sessions are relatively easy and common when one has a similar skillset and can bankroll manage and stop/loss properly .. but what do i know i havent yet binked my first 6 figure tourney win to bankroll myself a shot-take at that level 🤦♂

Some Karen energy there with the non straddler. If he is refusing to straddle, it doesn’t have to mean he’s tight. Going out of your way to patronize him is no good for the game, or environment. The non straddle could be a sign of inexperience, don’t want to scare those guys off. You should apologize.
