What I like about this scene was just the realness of it. As it unfolded you realize that woman didn’t come there to fight her or reclaim her sense of security. She went there looking to understand because she thought she knew her husband, therefore, had to understand what she’s dealing with in him (a liar). Mary Jane, was nice enough to even answer her those lingering questions. The woman had to understand all the details so she can draw the right conclusions: how they met, where they go, who initiated it, what friends or family knew (to know who she’s gotta cut off), all of it,… and the sad thing in the end was her realizing she wasn’t mad at Mary Jane. The only thing Mary Jane was guilty of was falling in love with someone she thought loved her, which isn’t a crime…. She was hurt just as much as her probably. Mary Jane wasn’t “the other woman”, she was a victim.

I disagree. It is correct that she is not married to her so she does not have an oath to obtain but it is very important to know she did not know that this man was married before she began the relationship it goes to talk about what her moral standards actually are. It's also important to know that he was lying to them both and allows her to assume that this relationship wouldn't have pursued had she known that he was married.
