Little science which Arabs had was imported from Bharat, they themselves has accepted and written it in their records. Books of Aryabhatta, Bhaskaracharya and many others were translated into Arabic and was imported to Arab in middle ages, later this knowledge reached Europe slowly initiating first fire of Modern Science. Many more knowledge(Medicine, Surgery, Astronomy, Philosophy, Chemistry,Metallurgy, Physics, Mathematics,Calculus etc) keep getting passed on from India to Europe through early missionaries which came in India in 1600s, then East India company came... gradually the Chain reaction happened beginning the new age of industrialisation, which can be called the true beginning of modern era. People can question if we had the knowledge why we didn't become an industrial superpower... It's because culturally we haven't ever focused much on machinery, people can consider it as merit or demerit ... For us it was all about using Knowledge for one's own well being. As we can see now, the relentless pursuit of Comfort, Money,power using Science is not only destroying the world but it is alos destroying society,nation and one's own Metal state. I don't thik this relentless pursuit can go on for long.. may be for next few centuries that's it!! Eventually we'll have to get back like how our sages were. Use knowledge for reasearch, one's well being instead of pursing comfort, power and money.
