Darth Vader's TIE fighter, or some speeder bikes. Or really challenge Brad, make everything a view from inside one of the truck's cabs. POV shot looking in the wing mirror, see the other truck JCVD's shadow and all the stuff they did closing in from behind.

Is it just me that noticed the trucks were actually going backwards for the video, that's makes it even more impressive by both JCVD and the drivers.
@NekoMouser4 жыл бұрын
They were going backward, he had a safety harness on that was painted out in post-production, and they were driving at a fixed speed of 16mph. So, not fast and no real risk of falling. He really did do the stunt and it's still impressive as hell, but it was also slow and backed up by a second layer of protection and safety equipment.

I also remember one of those Volvo commercials having the CEO or something standing on top of a cargo container being held above the Sea from a crane and the only thing holding that entire container was like a Volvo trucks locking pin or something like that. Then there was something about the trucks brakes being shown in another add. Overall good stuff.

It's true. I drove long haul... One time we had a guy at a truck stop get so high he stripped naked and climbed to the top of a gas station pump and passed out. He weighed 390ish pounds and was at best 5 and 1/2 feet tall. They needed to use a forklift with a pallet on it to get him back off.

Can we just stop for a second and appreciate the one thing that's been omitted in this video? Those trucks were going backwards. So, no chase scene, unless everthing is in front of the trucks and following. Also, JC didn't see where he was going. It was to show off the precision sterring and whatnot capabilities and how smooth the trucks are driving computer assisted or so. Makes it even more epic, admittedly. Side note: I can confirm the knowing smirk regarding GFs being able to do the split. Ballet dancers ... Dancers in general. Aspire to become worthy of them and you'll eventually understand why that's the pinacle of what a man can achieve.

I drove truck in the US for 20 years and America has some of the most restrictive laws for truckers. Log books that are so complicated that if you make a mistake of driving 5 minutes too early, they can fine you up to $150.00 per for every 15 minutes of illegal drive time. You're allowed 10 hrs of drive time for every day and you cannot exceed 70 hours drive time per week. For every 10 hrs of drive time you must have 6hrs of sleep time and 2hrs of off time. Drug tests can be administered at any time by the Department of transportation and you have 1hr from the time your notified of a drug test to get to the nearest medical facility and provide a drug exam.

That's funny the worst truck I ever drove was a Volvo with that damn 12Lt. The steering was vague, all the plastic would rattle and that damn 12Lt was bound and determined to stay broke. Oh and the computer problems would drive me nuts. Van Damm proved he's a badass with that stunt.
