There is a wonderful story that (at the height of the Stallone / Schwarzenegger rivalry), rumours were flying that Arnold was very interested in starring in a film titled "Stop, or my mom will shoot!". So Stallone rushed to sign up to take the starring role, in order to spite Arnie. Joke was that Schwarzenegger had ZERO interest in taking on the role - he had been deliberately fueling the rumours in order to trick Stallone into taking it. Stallone went from thinking he had outsmarted his rival, to starring in a humiliating movie which included a scene where he has to run around in a diaper. Top banter from Arnie IMHO.

During an interview Ventura explained how him and Arnold + his bodyguard Sven-Ole Thorsen had their gym battle: Arnold invited everyone of the filming crew to train in his gym. Both Ventura and Arnold wanted to be the first in the gym every morning and they pushed each others time. It got to a point where Ventura arrived at the gym by 5am (I think it was), he poured water all over himself, pretending he would've trained a fair amount of time already when Arnold and Thorsen arrived. Their friendly psychological warfare is legendary.

Reminds me of a true story that my coworker told me. He had a pretty horrific accident that damaged his spine and hip. So in line with his recovery - he had to go to physiotherapy, and a lot of it was core. To help stabilise his buggered back and hips after they had healed. During a spot, he felt what was a fart, ....it was much..much more.

Why were they worried about leaving the gym first if they wanted to make keeping their physique appear effortless? Why not just do normal sets, and if anyone tries to say you've not done much just point out it's enough to look the way they do. If they insist you hadn't been working with heavy enough weights for long enough, it just plays into the "effortless" act.

I completely agree with everything said here. I'm not very knowledgeable on the predator franchise, and haven't watched all the movies. All I knew was that the majority of them had really bad ratings, so I walked in the movie theater with no expectations. To my surprise I ended up thoroughly enjoying the movie the whole way through. A few parts of the movie were a little questionable, but over all, I'd give it a solid 8/10.
