He was an amazing guy. I wasn’t very old when he died but I remember how upset my older brother was. It was so sad. He had so much more to give. It’s funny but we still say, “You drive just like Steve McQueen!” When somebody squeals their tires or spins a donut. That is an Icon.♥️

He did a lot of things he shouldn't have done, including mistreating women, but he was finally getting it together when he got the mesothelioma diagnosis. I remember it like it was yesterday. McQueen wanted so much to live that he was willing to do anything to make that happen. Sadly, he passed. His daughter also died young. His first wife, Neile Adams Toffel, is still alive as of this post (8-24-24) and is 92 years old.

Some people do everything they can to destroy their health in their younger years, and only begin to appreciate their vitality and their time on earth once they have destroyed it and are facing eminent death. The medical system, treatments and medications can only do so much. We have to also do our part with maintaining healthy living habits and avoiding risky behaviors if you want to enjoy your senior years and hang around a little longer.

He served in the NAVY during WARTIME, and, there is ASBESTOS in the PAINT of Naval Ships...So, some may want to attribute the cancer to SMOKING, and NOT take INTO ACCOUNT the ASBESTOS in the Navy Ship PAINT. When the Naval Ship's PAINT CHIPPED in situations of wear and tear OR run-of-the-mill DAMAGE to the WALLS of the SHIP, due to ENEMY artillery fire, then the Sailors suffer EXPOSURE to ASBESTOS. As for the Mexican Doctor QUACK....Steve should've researched numerous Country's NATURAL CURE THERAPISTS, instead of just One. And, BTW, The Narrator labels any "Alt Therapist" who DOESNT PRACTICE AMA Pill Popping, as a "Quack". Look up Dr. Berzynski and FDA Scandal for a glimpse into how medecine is REGULATED, CENSORED, KEPT OUT OF AMERICAN'S CHOICES.

His cancer wasn't in remission, he was having massive tumors removed from his stomach, liver, neck and getting his right lung removed when he died of the heart attack. The quack you mentioned was actually an orthodontist that was giving him coffee enemas and daily injections of fluid containing live cells from cattle and sheep and Laetrile a supposedly and anti-cancer drug available only in Mexico but long known to be ineffective and Toxic in treating cancer. He was a lifetime 2 pack cigarette smoker that also smoked Marijuana every day, did cocaine, every psychedelic drug available and drank like a fish.

The fact that the morgue didn't bother him doesn't impress me. A morgue is quiet and the dead are dead. Murder victims, burn victims, decomps. I visited the Los Angeles morgue about 4 times. I saw a lot of bodies who met their end brutally. Hardly affected me. Now an emergency room on a bad night will rattle me. Kids getting hurt, really f's me up. McQueen led a badass life, though. Tough guy, for sure.
