I have to say, I'm really enjoying the new metagame (except Kislev)! Whether it's Conquest or the latest patch we have to thank, all of a sudden we're seeing things like the Dread Saurian and Star Dragons. And I think that the best thing about the Lizardmen Solar Engines is that every shot is essentially a free Harmonic Convergence if you can time it right before a charge. Those Skin Wolves were down at MA 8 and MD 4 after taking a hit.

I also have to say I prefer the meta for this mode over the meta for Domination. Domination seems to be more infantry centric and vanguard is seriously restricted. I think this mode strikes a better balance between the other two.

Great tourney. The finale was bit disappointing, but there were too many awesome matches for it to put much of a damper on the whole affair. I'd love to see more conquest tournaments in the future with other special rulesets, like 2v2 Grand Alliances or something.

@@fuchsmichael93Coops was already on Slaanesh. Alfredino and Aero each played DoC but each chose unique flavors (Nurgle, Slaanesh). Idk if he was told to do it or just because he wanted to.

A lot of killer performances, but Stingers on High Elves and Aerocrastic on Demons of Slaanesh were both real highlights for me. HE are my fave and that battle against Tzeench was stellar! Aero killed it with the limited roster and surgical micro, and it's a treat to see so many OG's mixed in with the best of the "newschool." What a kickass stream this was!

Demons of Slaanesh vs Empire gave me Teutoburg forest flashbacks. The biggest mistake was that empire left it's formation wide open.

Snow Leopards are unit classed as ”War Beast”, which might factor into their not counting toward the SE cap. I don't think any other SE has that designation. As for Kislev, I think By Our Blood is a toxic trait. There's a reason why Unbreakable is such a rare trait. Outside campaign stuff like Black Ark Admirals, it's basically Slayers, some Dwarf SEs, and Empire Flagellants. All those are balanced by being very fragile or slow as molasses on foot. BOB is far too good as a roster-wide and passive ability. It needs at least one of three things: * Be active so you have to micro and use it proactively * Be straight up nerfed to something like 10 sec unbreakable, remaining 15 sec +30 LS decaying to +0 at -2 per sec * Require some sort of buildup, whether it's just time passed or whatever accomplished, starting at 0 duration at start of game and scaling up to max with XYZ

By Our Blood needs to only be a thing on specific high-tier units, otherwise it just guarantees extra damage and that a unit will by tied up for longer dealing with some random chaff infantry. It's hilarious seeing a unit that won melee getting tarpitted by some trash infantry and be unable to move around the map and help elsewhere, just because Kislev are special like that.

I think the Long Drong Slayers are problematic. Them having a strong debuff is fine, but since they're Unbreakable, they get to provide it even when one struggling model is left in a blob, like in the Lizardmen match. It should be disabled when they reach 25% hp remaining.

The tournament was an absoulte blast. Well done and thanks to everyone involved for such great entertainment! But Pigman with the op Kislev that no one wanted to face - against Chad Aerocrastic with a limited Roster - that was heartbreaking. Especially since Pigman brought such a sweaty degenerate build abusing snow leopards not counting as single entities and bringing 8 SEs. Brought back memories of Pigman getting banned from TequilaSunset (edited) fun tournaments because he always brought sweaty builds to a fun tournament and then was a sore loser and dropped out of tournaments 3 times back to back after losing against meme builds. So unlikable that guy.

Yes, that was amazing to watch, but it was so satisfying for me to watch my beloved high elves fight so hard, that player is very skilled. I would love to see more people bringing the high elves, even though they are not an OP or a spam faction they are just so exciting to watch.

Loving the Conquest mode, I've never been a fan of Domination but I know Land Battles have a lot of cheese so this seems like a great compromise! PS. Missing the heroes of old, Felkon, Xiphos, Soothsayer.

Good tourney, shows off the faction diversity well. Aero deserves a Fiend trophy for that performance though! Weird final not having any mobility to take out the archers for the Lizards. Almost like he expected another box build.

I love how much effort Turin makes to build the community. But his commentary just sounds so casual. How about a tournament, best of three matches. But the format of each match is different….one Domination, one Conquest and one Land Battle. I also like 2v2! Large funds….hmmmm.

Aerocrastic's micro with slannesh was insanely impressive. Shame Kislev didn't get global banned. They are just not fun to watch when they are so dominant against everything else. Other than tha obvious elephant in the room, it feels like the game is in the best balance state I can remember seeing. Nothing else feels super weak or insurmountable

I love Faction Wars, and I'm really glad to see the series make a comeback. To be totally honest, the final match not being a best of 3 was a bit of a bummer, I feel like it really raises the stakes. If that was reinstated, I think a lot of people would be a lot more hyped. Also, fuck Snow Leopard spam.
