majdalin, The reason school teachers don't explain like this guy is, the way math was taught when they were in school required memorization instead of understanding. The "solutions" weren't properly explained, and critical steps were left out. The students who received high grades were the ones who memorized the incomplete solutions that were written on the board.

Why do professors have to make everything so complicated when it's this easy to explain? NOT saying your work is light, because you're literally carrying thousands of HS and college students through their courses but like... I can't even glean any of this from the lectures my school gives, and we all know how much uni costs. Thank you so much for saving my grades and helping me understand the math!

They are not teachers but merely experts in their fields, they understand it their way but that doesn't mean they are good at conveying that information to others, espically when they might be managed multiple subjects and as a result don't have enough time to go into detail as much as they need to. Universities could easily hire actual teachers to learn from the professors to translate the information into a way that is digestible and to also reduce the workload for the staff managing subjectbut unforntunaly that would make it accessible to more people, and devaluing the degrees overall(to the university), resulting in the loss of profit for them in the short term(but being valuable for the longterm) Very few countries have non-privitised eduation system that values making the univeristiy enough money than for effective educuation
