You're correct in saying it's not right. Did you verify that the middle term is what it should be for a perfect square trinomial? If not, please do so as its a vital step in the process.

Sir, excuse my ignorance. A perfect square - when you are talking about "memorizing the perfect squares" - are you referring to the same two numbers when multiplied together and what they equal to? (i.e., 1x1, 2x2, 3x3 and so on). I fee like I owe you some money because truthfully, I have been spending HOURS learning polynomials, factoring GCF, etc - and you are the best in breaking it down for a person. Thank you.

uhhm I have a question. in the question: x4 +8x2 + 16 = (x2 + 4) (x2+4) = (x2 +4)2 (final) why is it final? isn't it not factorable? is not the answer: (x+2)2? isn't this the simplest? thank you! big help!
