love the game ,even if the logistic bots makes some lazy ignoreing the belts in factories still woudlet be the same game without the bots to 'take over' all the little manuel fiddles of maintaining whats setup for al lthe trains to keep feeding feeding feeding it to make more more more ^^

Thank you for all the credits given out, a lot of videos think since it's just a game it doesn't really matter to give credit. But it allows us to go look up the creator of those designs and get more info. But yes, this is an amazing base design.

I started playing Factorio today and quickly got overwhelmed with basic stuff like automating basing things and I was so chuffed when I set up automated red science. Then I tried automating green science and quickly realised it's going to be tricky. Seeing this build honestly boggles my mind. How? Amazing, I never thought a game like this can have so much depth! Beautiful.

I have 100 hours in the game and haven't launched a rocket yet, although I'm very close and only need high tech science. My factory has underground belts going everywhere, it's the most disorganized and chaotic factory I've ever seen. The organization on this world is making my head spin. Good job!

You're right, it did start out as a bigger lake. I started on the outside and judged where I thought the middle would be, then filled in land until I got to the other side.

Stunning base!! I just bought myself this game when the winter sale started and after only 5 days I already have 24 hours sunked into it (so all the left time that I didn't spend with the family).. I'm having trouble keepin up with the scale of my own factories even though I still don't produce processor (blue) chips D: And batteries are my proudest production, haha (I'm sure this kind of seems noobie for someone who played this game longer haha :D)! Love the game and seeing content such as this makes me want to play it even more! :)

Such beautiful and working design. After 800 hours to game I still struggle with spaghetti lines and ad-hoc fabrications. I mean, in 280 hours I could probably get nice, rectangular iron/copper smelting working with dual tracks. What you made is far more than impressive O_O

yah rail signaling is definitely one of the harder aspects of the game, but once you get it, it's a piece of cake. Good rule of thumb: chain signal before every intersection. Chain signals inbetween short intersections (or for blocks less than the length of the trains you're using), and then regular signals after intersections where there is going to be your train length between that signal and the next signal (ie: if you're using a 2-4-2 train, you need to make sure there's enough room for that type of train inbetween your regular signals).

I tried to combine both (and I'm happy with how it turned out aesthetically and efficiency-wise) but this design does not allow for the most optimal throughput or efficiency. Sadly a straight bus or pure bot/train base is still probably the way to go if efficiency is the #1 priority.

its such a chill to watch these giant factories. I have no clue what the hell is going on here even though i played this game 60 hours :D Trains, robots and all kind of signals as well as nuclear power and even Oil-things are witchcraft for me

Had no idea what the game was about. (But as a "Tycoon/Sim" fanatic had to see the video). Ended up seeing the whole video because her voice and ability to explain. You definitely should look forward for academic teaching ;) Anyway, you have a new subscriber :D

I have built a few bases like this before... But what inevitably happens is I will hop into a tank and just start driving through it and knocking down a pathway of destruction through the base then watch with glee as my robots rebuild everything and industry continues with only a momentary pause. Do you ever do that? Just shoot, blow up, or run over your stuff just to watch it be rebuilt?
